    Abstract: A composite plate comprising CNT bundles with high thermal conductivity is formed by the method comprising preparing a CNT growth substrate, depositing a CNT growth catalyst on the CNT growth substrate, preparing a wafer with etched through via arrays, placing the wafer with the etched through via arrays over the CNT growth substrate with the CNT growth catalyst, growing CNT bundles in the etched through via arrays on the wafer over the CNT growth substrate with the CNT growth catalyst in a CVD chamber to form a wafer matrix CNT composite structure; and removing the CNT growth substrate from the wafer matrix CNT composite structure. The formed composite plate comprising CNT bundles with high thermal conductivity has improved CTE silicon match, has a more effective thermal conductivity than a silicon matrix or Cu or Cu alloy substrate, and contains nanotubes that remain vertical.

    Abstract: The system includes a transmitter, at least one detection system receiver, a modulated signal source, and a directional receive antenna. The transmitter emits a high power illuminating signal at a receive frequency of a target RF receiver to be detected. The high power illuminating signal is sufficient to cause the target RF receiver to generate harmonic emissions. At least one detection system receiver is used for detecting at least one harmonic frequency emitted by the target RF receiver. The modulated signal source is operatively associated with the transmitter to modulate the illuminating signal and for use as a reference to the detection system receiver such that the turn around time of the harmonic frequency emitted by the target RF receiver can be measured. A directional receive antenna is operatively associated with the detection system receiver for determining the angle to the target RF receiver.

    Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for detecting devices with receivers, such as explosive devices with receivers used to remotely detonate the explosive devices. The system for detecting devices may include a transmitter which transmits a signal causing saturation of a device whereby harmonic content is emitted by the device. Receipt of an emitted harmonic signal which is coherent to the transmitted signal may indicate the presence of a device. A distance between the system and the detected device may be determined by modulating a frequency of the transmitted signal and measuring the time period between transmission of the signal and receipt of a harmonic signal. Additionally, direction information may be determined which may allow identification of a location of the device based upon the distance information and direction information.

    Abstract: The present invention is a high availability digital radio architecture which includes an analog interface subsystem and a baseband digital processing subsystem. The analog interface subsystem includes an antenna switching network and a digital antenna group translator. The translator includes a set of analog and digital building blocks for each communication, navigation and surveillance (CNS) waveform. The set of blocks includes a receive signal processing chain and/or a transmit signal processing chain with digital interfaces to a multi-channel transceiver. The switching network provides connectivity between antennas and the translator. The baseband digital processing system includes a network switch and said multi-channel transceiver. The transceiver includes a digital modem and protocol processing components for implementing behavior of each CNS waveform.

    Abstract: A phased array antenna with an egg crate array structure is formed from metallic row slats that form a floor and ceiling of each array element. Column slats with slots engage the row slots to form the egg crate array structure. EMXT devices are located on the column slats such that a pair of EMXT devices form array element walls. The column slats are formed from U-shaped column strips configured such that a left side of the U-shape forms a left-hand side of each array element in a column and a right side of the U forms an opposing right-hand side. The column strips sides are mounted back-to-back with sides of adjacent column strips to form the column slats. Circuit devices for operation of the antenna are mounted on the U-shaped column strip and a connector is mounted at an apex of the U-shaped column slat.
