  • Patent number: 4834309
Abstract: The dispenser has a housing in which are rotatably journalled a photographic sheet materials supply shaft, and a pair of nipping rollers. A motor drives one of the rollers through a drive train, and such driven roller drives the other. A leader of sheet material from said shaft, fed to said nipping rollers, is drivenly payed-out from the shaft, and between the rollers, when the motor is turned on. Further, a handwheel journalled in a control box mounted to the housing turns an indicia-graduated dial to an indicated length of sheet material sought to be payed out. A motor switch, in cooperation with control box and housing circuitry, powers the motor to pay-out the dialed length of sheet material, and a further switch which monitors the rotation of the dial turns the motor off when the dialed length of material has been payed-out.

  • Patent number: 4706904
Abstract: The Cassette Assembly has a prominent out-feeding section coupled to and projecting from a sheet materials confining section for nestably mating with a trough therefor formed in a sheet materials dispenser. The trough has diminishing dimensions inwardly thereof, and an inner portion with a specific width. The out-feeding section of the Cassette Assembly is so constructed as to have a complementary, i.e., substantially equal, overall width dimension across a portion thereof to form a light-sealing, light-tight, fit of such portion with the inner portion of the trough. In a first embodiment thereof, the out-feeding section of the Cassette Assembly defines the light-tight, sealing width dimension of the portion thereof of its basic, plastic construction. In other embodiments, the sealing width dimension is formed, effectively, by the expedient of fixing strips of light-sealing material on the outer walls of the out-feeding section of the Cassette Assembly.

  • Patent number: 4535664
Abstract: The invention comprises a light-tight dispenser for rolled sheet materials, such as negative stock, emulsified paper, and like photographic supplies, having nipping rollers for paying-out of the rolled materials, and a translatable blade for severing a selected length of payed-out material. The dispenser is suspensible from a vertical surface, such as a wall of a room or a panel of a camera unit (which latter may have an entry access for a severed length of the material). The dispenser has a channel which defines a rectilinear frame in which a sheet material cassette is light-sealingly nested and restrained. The cassette intimately engages the innermost portion of the channel to feed sheet material therefrom to the aforesaid nipping rollers, which are in adjacency thereto.

  • Patent number: 4442744
Abstract: In the embodiment depicted, the apparatus comprises a housing having an access door and a materials-discharging opening. Within the housing is a support structure for receiving a plurality of cassettes of photographic sheet material, such as photosensitive paper and negative stock. To the support structure are mounted a plurality of platforms which grip the cassettes, and a plurality of chutes for conveying the sheet materials from the cassettes to the discharging opening. Rollers intrude into the chutes and define nips which grasp the sheet material and a handwheel fixed to one roller of pairs thereof is used to advance the sheet material along the chutes. A bladed cutter is reciprocatingly supported by the housing, in immediate adjacency to the discharging opening, for severing thereat lengths of sheet material which are passed therethrough.

  • Patent number: 4420120
Abstract: The cassette comprises a housing formed of a pair of mating shells which join to define a cylindrical chamber therewithin, in which chamber to confine sheet photographic materials, such as negative stock, emulsified paper, and the like. The shells are hingedly joined together, and have latches which fasten them together in light-sealing engagement. A trough, formed of two mating parts, is provided for the paying-out of the photographic materials therethrough from the chamber. One of the mating parts is a fixed portion of one of the shells, and the other thereof is hingedly joined to the other of the shells. The mating parts of the trough also have latches which fasten them together.

  • Patent number: 4367030
Abstract: The developer-printer assembly comprises a housing having a plurality of tanks formed therewithin for confining developing fluid, fixing fluid, wash water and rinse water, and a plurality of conveying roller assemblies and guides for directing and conveying photographic papers, i.e., photosensitive papers or negatives, which are to be developed and printed, between the tanks, through the fluids and waters. The conveying roller unit, a plurality of which are employed in the developer-printer assembly, has a pair of rollers spaced apart with an intermediate roller interposed therebetween, and bands replaceably looped about the pair of rollers and atop the intermediate roller, for constraining the photographic papers firmly to the intermediate roller. The unit further has a trough for positively directing papers to the intermediate and pair of rollers.
