  • Patent number: 9333788
Abstract: A safe, integrated dye sublimation transfer printer apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus is configured to print one or more images onto transfer media, then align the transfer media onto a substrate. A selected product to receive the sublimated image is positioned on top of the transfer media, and one or more heating platens then engage the transfer media to sublimate the image. The heating platen is configured to sublimate one or more opposing sides of a product substantially simultaneously in a single thermal cycle. In some embodiments, the apparatus may be incorporated into a fully-enclosed vending machine to provide on-demand personalized sublimated products and accessories for a consumer.

  • Publication number: 20160107857
Abstract: A roll (10) of glass ribbon (20), having a thickness of 0.3 mm or less, wherein a thickness compliant material interlayer (40) is wound together with the glass ribbon. The characteristics of the interlayer are chosen to form the roll with minimal lateral offset (9). For example, the static coefficient of friction between the interlayer and the glass ribbon may be greater than or equal to 3.0 (as measured with a vertical force of 0.5 N). Other characteristics may include the width, thickness, and compliance, of the interlayer. There is also disclosed a method of rolling a glass ribbon wherein the roll winding parameters, for example web tension and pressure between the layers of the roll, are chosen to minimize the lateral offset.

  • Patent number: 9302102
Abstract: An electro-therapeutic stimulator provides an output signal having a first controllable main pulse periodic-exponential signal and a second background pulse periodic-exponential signal. The main pulse signal is controllable, preferably to a digital numerical value of 1 to 500 pulses per second, to a digital, numerical value of duty cycle, and to a digital numerical value of balance. The signal is produced using a class D amplifier and with a transformer optimized for the background pulse (such as at 10 kHz) rather than for the main pulse. The electro-therapeutic stimulator includes a counter which forces purchasing of durations of signal time for ongoing use of the stimulator, and a challenge code procedure for facilitating additional time purchases.

  • Patent number: 9216924
Abstract: Methods of processing a glass ribbon are provided. The method includes the step of traversing the glass ribbon through a travel path at a predetermined velocity and severing the glass ribbon to create an upstream web and a downstream web. The method further includes the step of increasing a relative velocity of a downstream edge portion with respect to an upstream edge portion to create a gap between an upstream severed edge and a downstream severed edge. In other example methods, a segment of the glass ribbon is removed to create a gap between an upstream severed edge and a downstream severed edge. In still further example methods, an upstream severed edge is directed along a second travel path to create a gap between the upstream severed edge and a downstream severed edge.
