The method includes acquiring critical drawdown pressure profile (CDPP) of at least one selected from a group consisting of an open well and a cased well, establishing a CDPP criteria according to geomechanics based model, identifying sand failure according to the CDPP criteria, and predicting zonal productivity of a drilling operation according to the sand failure.
