Patent number: 11925362Abstract: Reamer instruments and related methods are disclosed for use in preparing bone, such as a glenoid bone surface, to receive an implant requiring one of two or more possible surface geometries. Described reamer instruments can have a modular or multi-component design. A minimal number of components can be particular to a particular required geometry, which can allow assembly and use of reamer instruments of the present disclosure to be flexible, intuitive, and efficient. In some embodiments, a disposable reamer head assembly can be driven by a disposable drive tip through a pin-on-pin connection. The remaining components of the reamer instrument can be sterilized and re-used. To prepare bone for a half-wedge implant, a half-wedge housing can be coupled to a reamer instrument handle and a depth stop can be coupled to the housing to achieve the required geometry. Alternatively, a full-wedge housing can be coupled to the instrument handle.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2021Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: DEPUY IRELAND UNLIMITED COMPANYInventors: Stephen J. Orphanos, Gary Fernandes, Christian Amaral, Francisco A. Amaral, Raymond F. Murphy, Robert Ciocca

Patent number: 11918234Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are provided for ligament repair procedures, and can be used to establish a location and trajectory for forming a bone tunnel in bone. One exemplary embodiment of a surgical guide for using in a ligament repair procedure includes a guide arm and a carriage that can be selectively locked along the guide arm to define an angle of the bone tunnel. The guide arm also defines a location of a distal end of the bone tunnel. In some embodiments the carriage is configured to have a bullet side-loaded into it, and the bullet can be used to define a location of a proximal end of the bone tunnel. The present disclosure also provides for a gage that limits the distance a drill pin that drills the bone tunnel can travel. A variety of other, devices, systems, and methods are also provided.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2021Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: Medos International SarlInventors: Lauren Ardito, Gary Fernandes, Michael S. Varieur, Kevin J. Zylka, Scott Presbrey, Carl Livorsi, Franciso A. Amaral, Brian D. Busconi, Dean C. Taylor

Patent number: 9801020Abstract: A system for creating an anonymous social gathering of 3 or more persons. The system has a server digital device and a client digital device both operatively connected to a distributed network and thus to each other. The client device is configured to display an electronic mapping received from the server digital device through the distributed network and the electronic mapping displays at least one selectable geolocation indicator. Each geolocation indicator represents an indicated location of a gathering of at least two anonymous portable digital devices. The electronic mapping is configured to display indicator identification information on the user device for the momentarily selected indicator.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2016Date of Patent: October 24, 2017Inventors: Jeffrey Scuba, Gary Fernandes
