  • Patent number: 6971616
Abstract: A clipboard having an improved paper clamping element is disclosed. The clipboard has a planar board member with a front face, a rear face, two side edges, a top end, a bottom end and a clamping mechanism having at least one biasing element and a clamping element. The clamping element has at least one paper clamp cooperating with a holding element. The planar board member has at least one slot for penetration of the paper clamp through the planar board member from the rear face of the planar board to the front face. A writing implement holder and a carrying handle may be incorporated into the clamping mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6543615
Abstract: A device for holding writing implements has an apertured holder pattern formed in a resilient material. The holder pattern has a pair of flat resilient holding arms and aligned entry ports. The entry ports are generally rounded openings of sufficient size to enable a writing implement to be inserted in to cam the holding arms upwardly so as to hold the writing implement in place.

  • Publication number: 20020036253
Abstract: An improved device for holding writing implements that can be adhered onto other surfaces, wherever the user thinks appropriate. The holder device is an elongated base portion with an adhesive for mounting along, and under, one longitudinal edge. The opposite longitudinal edge curls outwardly, upwardly, and circularly, back over itself for approximately 270 degrees, forming three-quarters of an open-ended cylindrically shaped channel, sized to receive and hold elongated writing implements.

  • Publication number: 20020027357
Abstract: An improved device for holding writing implements. In the application of the preferred embodiment the means for holding is integrated into something else, as into the cover material of a notebook. In the application of embodiment 2 the means for holding is surrounded by an independent holder body material with an adhesive that allows the user to mount the device where considered appropriate, as onto the cover of a notebook. The essence of the invention is the means for holding, a single aperture holder pattern comprising: holding arms and entry ports. Holding arms form up out of a thin, flat base material from opposite longitudinally parallel sides. Holding arms, at each end, transition into entry ports. The entry ports are generally rounded openings of sufficient size: to provide flexibility for holding arms, to distribute the wear-stress of the flexing holding arms, and provide an inviting opening for inserting the writing implement.
