  • Publication number: 20070203906
Abstract: A search engine system (1) capable of displaying indicative information (3) to a user from searches performed by entities connected directly or indirectly to the user (2), wherein said system (1) includes at least one host computer processor (23) connectable to one or more network(s) (24), a database accessible over said network(s) (24), a plurality of data input devices (25) connectable to said network(s) (24) said search engine being accessible over said network(s) (24).

  • Publication number: 20060195442
Abstract: A search engine (1) capable of providing a listing of destinations (4) in response to searches for a user-inputted search term (6), said search engine (1) further providing at least one suggestions (10) listing derived from users previously inputted search terms (6) and/or destinations (4) selected, characterized in that at least one seeded suggestion (15) is incorporated in at least one suggestion (10) listing.

  • Publication number: 20060195443
Abstract: The present invention relates to an information prioritisation system which is preferably implemented using at least one computer system. This prioritisation system may be adapted to execute the steps of initially receiving an input results set with this results set including a subset of at least one advertiser result. The system provided may then calculate a rank value for each result within the input results set and then assign this calculated rank value to each result of the set. The system may then subsequently order the input results set into an output results set where the output results set formed is composed of a sequential array of results ordered by the calculated rank value assigned to each result. Computer executable instructions configured to implement such a system are also considered to be within the scope of the invention.

  • Publication number: 20060026147
Abstract: An adaptive search engine (1) having a plurality of data items (4) from one or more data sources (5) stored in at least one database searchable by a search query (6) of a least one keyword (7) to produce a corresponding ranked search result listing (8) of data items (4), said search engine having a plurality of selectable filters (9) applicable by the search engine and/or the user to filter at least a portion (10) of the data items (4) of the search result listing (8), characterised in that said search engine records an association between a filter (9) applied to a search query (6) and a data item (4) selected by a user from said filtered portion (10) of the corresponding search result listing (8), wherein each recorded association contributes to the weighting given by the search engine (1) to application of said filter (9) in a subsequent search for at least one keyword (7) of said search query (6).
