    Abstract: Device for retrieving a snagged fishing lure which is connected to the end of a fishing line and which includes a generally cylindrical body having a rod attached at one end and an open cavity at the other end. The body of the device has a slot in its side wall which receives the fishing line for guiding the body along the fishing line to the snagged lure. The cavity in the retrieving device body is adapted to accept the snagged lure so that the lure can be moved with the body for freeing the lure.
