  • Publication number: 20170108929
Abstract: A full motion capture and haptic feedback suite which allows users to touch and feel virtual objects used with a KINECT or made into a hybrid state using 9-axis sensors to move freely outside the view of the KINECT. The suite uses a combined software and hardware platform for immersive virtual reality, capable of tracking a user's movements, translating them into a virtual space, and providing haptic feedback when the user comes into contact with a virtual object. Essentially, this allows a user to “feel” the object, adding another level of sensation on top of the visual feedback provided by a television or a headset. The system uses a KINECT and an integrated sensor network to detect the user's position in a space without the traditional limits of a consumer motion capture system. It then sends touch feedback to a custom-designed feedback suit based on virtual interactions.

  • Publication number: 20160003171
Abstract: A control system is disclosed for use with a powertrain of a machine. The control system may have a first sensor configured to generate a first signal indicative of an actual speed, a second sensor configured to generate second signal indicative of at least one of a force bearing on the machine and a position of an implement, and an interface device configured to generate a third signal indicative of a desired speed. The control system may also have a controller configured to determine a closed-loop gain value based on a difference between the actual and desired speeds, to classify a current operation of the machine based on the second signal, and to determine an open-loop gain value based on classification of the current operation. The controller may also be configured to control fueling of the machine based on a superposition of the closed-loop gain value and the open-loop gain value.

  • Publication number: 20100010527
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a safety lancet having a safety cap slidably engaged with a hub having a cannula such that in a pre-use position the safety cap allows access to the cannula and in post-use position, the safety cap prevents access to the cannula.
