  • Patent number: 7914686
Abstract: A process using an electrical signal for electrokinetic floatation of solids and semi-solids in paint sludge water includes collecting the paint sludge water into a tank. The process further includes generating the electrical signal from a bottom of the tank to separate the solids and semi-solids from the water in the paint sludge water to induce electrokinetic floatation of the solids and semi-solids to a top surface in the tank. After separating the solids and semi-solids from the water, the process includes removing the solids and semi-solids from the tank.

  • Patent number: 6944645
Abstract: A vendor provides a customer an electronic communications system for customizing the content and the delivery date of product information. The communications system also keeps the vendor informed of evolving customer interests. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method for customizing electronic communications to a customer includes storing a set of customer-provided data in a first database, the customer-provided data being associated with a customer identification code and characterizing the customer. A set of customer-behavioral data is then generated in response to a data selection made by the customer at an informational database and is stored in the first database in association with the customer identification code. A content database is configured for storage of a plurality of product data sets and then at least one product data set is selected from the content database as a function of the customer-provided data and the customer-behavioral data.

  • Publication number: 20050166431
Abstract: An advertising display unit adaptable for attachment to a guard structure such as upright supports located adjacent the fuel pump islands associated with a typical service station, the present display unit including a sign structure having a pair of generally opposed display panels positioned in spaced apart relationship so as to form a cavity adaptable for receiving the guard structure. Each display panel includes an attachment structure for removably securing the sign structure to the guard structure so as to retain the display unit in a generally upright orientation. In a preferred embodiment, the attachment structure includes a plurality of openings associated with each display panel and a plurality of tie members or cable straps positionable through selected openings for pulling a portion of each display panel into engagement with the guard structure.

  • Patent number: 5305794
Abstract: A gas cylinder valve assembly has an outside portion positioned outside the gas cylinder and an inside portion positioned inside the gas cylinder. A canal for conducting gas passes through the inside and outside portions. The canal communicates with the inside of the cylinder through orifices in the inside portion. The canal further communicates with the inside of the gas cylinder through an opening, gas flow through which is controlled by a check valve. The check valve normally closes the opening. Gas in the cylinder flows to the outside through the orifices. During the filling operation, gas is supplied from outside under pressure. The gas under pressure opens the check valve, and gas flows both through the orifices and through the opening.

Abstract: An automatic fire sprinkler of commercial grade is installed in a domestic dwelling independent of existing plumbing and without alteration of the plumbing in the dwelling. The automatic sprinkler head is connected to one end of a flexible hose. The opposite end of the hose is connected to an existing spigot to the water supply of a central heating unit, hot water heater or the like. The spigot may be a drain outlet or other outlet. The opposite end of the hose may also be connected to a water faucet which provides water to the domestic clothes washing machine. The fire sprinkler head is hung above the heat system or clothes washer/dryer. In response to a fire the sprinkler automatically sprays water from the existing water supply to the immediate area.
