  • Publication number: 20170074105
Abstract: A method of producing a turbine rotor, in particular a steam turbine rotor, is provided. A forged and machined existing steam turbine rotor having partially larger dimensions as dimensions of an intended rotor is provided. The form of the existing rotor is compared with the form of the intended rotor and a position of the intended rotor within the existing rotor is chosen. Material is applied by build-up welding on portions of the existing rotor where not enough material is present for machining the intended rotor at the chosen position. The intended rotor is produced at the chosen position by machining the existing rotor.

  • Publication number: 20120000111
Abstract: An interchangeable fishing lure having a sinkable head portion attached to a fishing line at its top, an integral bolt extending downward from the bottom of the head portion and threaded into the top of a separate tail portion, with the bottom of the tail portion having a fish hook attached thereon. The bottom of the head portion and the top of the tail portion having matching flat surfaces which are fully engaged when the head portion and the tail portion are fully screwed together on the bolt which engagement prevents the head and the tail portions from accidentally loosening or separating, but it permits the fisherman to easily unscrew the tail portion and interchange it with a different tail portion to suit different species of fish and varying fishing conditions without having to also remove and reattach a different head portion head to the fishing line.

  • Publication number: 20070259741
Abstract: A game court and method of play are provided which allow players to compete and score points by throwing a ball through their opponent's goal or throwing the ball and hitting their opponent. The game provides a court bound on all sides to facilitate retention of balls during game play and features an opaque dividing fence which splits the court into two halves each occupied by a different team. The fence is oriented such that each team has on its side of the fence an area of the court protruding past the midpoint of the court. The configuration and orientation of the dividing fence creates unique elements of strategy including the possibility that players from one team may attempt to score points from a position behind players of the opposing team.

  • Publication number: 20070044639
Abstract: A graphical music creation user interface is used to create and edit user compositions, which may then be transferred to a server and, through a cell phone carrier network, to cell phones or other portable devices. The compositions may be used as cell phone ring tones. Various graphical features allow for ease of music creation, while providing a possibility for fine-tuning created pieces.

  • Publication number: 20060236716
Abstract: An refrigerant accumulator (18) comprises a first chamber (30), a second chamber (32), a pre-evaporator line (34), a post-evaporator-inlet line (36), and a post-evaporator-outlet line (38). The chambers (30, 32) are in a pressure-isolated arrangement and a heat-transfer relationship. The pre-evaporator line (34) passes through and communicates with the first chamber (30). In a steady state, the pressure of fluid in the first chamber (30) is greater than the pressure of fluid in the second chamber (32), but their temperatures are the same, and the pressure of fluid within the first chamber is balanced with the pressure of fluid within the pre-evaporator line. In a starved or flooded state, temperature differentials between the chamber (30) and chamber (32), and pressure imbalances between the chamber (30) and the pre-evaporator line (34), adjust the charge of refrigerant fluid to return the system to a steady state.

  • Publication number: 20060204324
Abstract: A link for connecting a pair of spaced members having a set of aligned holes, together, generally including a bolt having threaded end portions and a pair of upset portions based inwardly relative to the threaded end portions thereof, a pair of inner grommets each formed of a resilient material, mountable on the bolt and having a portion functional to snap-fit on one of the upset portions of the bolt when such grommet is mounted on the bolt, a pair of outer grommets each formed of a resilient material, mountable on the bolt and cooperable with one of the inner grommets to engage one of the members therebetween and a pair of nuts threadable on the threaded portions of the bolt, engageable with an exterior grommet mounted on the bolt.

  • Publication number: 20050230891
Abstract: An energy absorption device for providing a softer stop arrangement between a pair of components. A compressible bumper is placed into a flexible cup. A ring is place around the flexible cup. Upon application of force between the components, the compressible bumper collapses into the flexible cup and the cup begins to expand radially. The ring prevents the cup from expanding to the point of flattening and provides the device with a definite rigid stop. The device is usable between any two components to prevent collisions between the components up to a certain force between them and is also usable between a strut assembly and a vehicle suspension frame.

  • Patent number: 6618222
Abstract: A disk drive includes at least one rotatable disk including a disk edge and a disk drive housing having a breather hole formed through the disk drive housing. The disk drive further includes a breather shroud in mechanical communication with the disk drive housing. The breather shroud includes a shroud portion positioned adjacent the disk. The shroud portion is formed to extend along the disk edge for mitigating airflow adjacent the disk. The breather shroud further includes an air filter housing portion integrated with the shroud portion. The air filter housing portion is disposed adjacent the breather hole for filtering airflow through the breather hole. The air filter housing portion is positioned with the shroud portion between the air filter housing portion and the disk edge for mitigating airflow from the breather hole to adjacent to the disk.

The tonneau cover comprises a pair of outer channels, a pair of inner channels, and several panels. Each of the channels has a C-shaped cross-section. Each outer channel is tapered along its length from front to back. The outer channels are mounted near the upper ends of the side walls. The inner channels are mounted in the outer channels. The panels are slidably mounted between the inner channels and extend from the front wall to the tailgate. The tonneau cover may be adapted for use with pick-up truck beds having parallel side walls or beds having side walls which taper inward from front to back.
