  • Patent number: 8474140
Abstract: Grinding a machine component such as a valve component during remanufacturing, includes seating one end of the valve component in a chuck of the grinding apparatus, then contacting a steady rest with a reference surface on an outer diameter of the valve component while rotating the valve component, and then reseating the one end of the valve component in the chuck. A first valve surface on an outer diameter of the valve component is ground while contacting the steady rest with the reference surface, then a second, different valve surface on the outer diameter of the valve component is ground also while contacting the steady rest with the reference surface. The valve component is then reassembled with a hydraulically actuated device for service therein.

  • Patent number: 8291927
Abstract: A process for remanufacturing valve bodies such as fuel injector valve bodies includes receiving a salvaged valve body having a first segment, a second segment and a middle segment which includes a valve seat and a guide bore for a valve therein. The process further includes removing material of the valve body where the valve seat and the guide bore are disposed, and positioning an insert within the valve body in place of the removed material. A new valve seat and a new guide bore are then machined in the insert, including locating for machining the new valve seat and new guide bore on a timing face of the valve body.

  • Patent number: 7984141
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a request message at a local node in a communications network from a remote node in the communication network. The request message holds data that indicates a request for a particular service from the local node. A load metric that indicates a current processing load at the local node is determined. A response delay time, for responding to the request message, is determined based on the load metric. A response message is sent after the response delay time. The response message indicates the local node is able to provide the particular service for the remote node. The delay time allows the local node to make it more likely that a less busy node will respond earlier in time to a request message from the same remote node and provide the particular service.

  • Publication number: 20080073090
Abstract: The present invention comprises a working implement, such as a snowplow, that can be attached to a vehicle. The assembly contains its own power source, and is controlled remotely, such as wirelessly. This combination allows the operator of the vehicle to lift and lower the jack on the unattached working implement as required without exiting the vehicle. In one embodiment, the system further includes wireless remote control operation of the headlights and blinkers, thereby eliminating another physical connection that typically exists between the vehicle and the working implement. The wireless remote control operation of the jack enables proper positioning of the lift frame relative to the vehicle chassis for easy mounting and dismounting thereto. In certain embodiments, the engagement of the assembly's connection mechanism with the vehicle, such as with a receiver on the vehicle, creates an electrical connection that enables communication between the assembly and controls for the assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070186460
Abstract: An ice fishing line protection device, for protecting micro fishing line as light as one or two pound test, comprising an elongated tube with an internal passageway through which a fishing line may pass. The protection device floats in an ice fishing hole protecting the line from abrasions. The protection device opens to release the line or it can be extracted from the ice hole entirely when a fish is caught.

  • Publication number: 20070071035
Abstract: An embodiment may provide for link fragmentation and interleaving at an access device located between a point to point link and a tunneled connection. An embodiment may include a method of receiving frames through a tunnel from a network server, fragmenting at least some of the frames from the network server, and sending fragmented and unfragmented frames over a data link to an endpoint device. In some embodiments the frames may be multilink point to point protocol (MLPPP) frames. In yet another embodiment, the frames may be received through a layer two tunneling protocol (L2TP) tunnel. An embodiment may include scanning a frame for PPP options and removing options related to MLPPP negotiation and then forwarding the frame to a network server. An embodiment may comprise means capable of executing the embodiment method or may include instructions that when executed on a machine are capable of the embodiment method.

  • Patent number: 6964121
Abstract: Hitch mount assembly for snow blades or other accessories or implements for off-road vehicles such as all-terrain vehicles. The assembly includes a receiver for mounting to the vehicle chassis and an implement assembly readily removably coupled to the receiver. The configuration of the receiver and implement assembly allows for self-alignment during the mounting operation. A switching mechanism and actuator also can be used to pivot the working implement remotely. The mount assembly can be attached to the vehicle with a powered winch or manually.

  • Patent number: 6932702
Abstract: A game and method are set forth which includes a triggering event triggering a hot streak phase. During the hot streak phase, for a predetermined number of future games, the game is configured to provide at least one of consecutive wins or a multiplier applied to winning outcomes. By providing the hot streak feature the overall performance of the game can be configured to have the desired hit frequency and hold. In another aspect a nine reel, eight pay line game is set forth which uses three symbol data sets in an arrangement to provide for easier configuration to obtain, with or without a hot streak feature or other bonus features, a game having the desired performance.

  • Patent number: 6240659
Abstract: Control system for a jack for raising and lowering a lift assembly for hydraulically driven snow blades or other utilitarian accessories. Actuation of the jack allows for proper vertical alignment of the lift assembly for engagement to a vehicle chassis. Once engaged, the jack can be actuated into an inoperative position until the lift assembly is to be removed from the chassis. The control system includes several safety features that prevent the jack from being deployed when the snow blade is raised, and that automatically retract the jack when the snow blade is raised.

  • Patent number: 5144538
Abstract: A handle structure that fits on the tail gate or utility opening on a vehicle and is illuminated in concert with the tail light system of the vehicle to also act as a third tail light. The combination tail light handle is also mountable opposite the tail gate latch to facilitate the operation of the tail gate latch and opening of the tail gate or utility door. The combination tail light handle utilizes a lens for light dispersion mounted at sufficient angle to transmit light rearwardly of the vehicle regardless of whether the tail gate or utility door is in the open or closed position.
