Patent number: 10351019Abstract: An actuator assembly for moving a vehicle seat on a track includes an actuation cable having a first end and a second end, an actuation gear unit having an output gear with a spool feature attached to the first end of the actuation cable, a first biasing member, and an actuator in communication with the actuation gear unit. The output gear rotates about a first axis, the actuation cable partially windable upon the spool feature. Characteristically, the actuator when actuated rotates the actuation gear unit to wind the actuation cable onto the spool feature thereby retracting the actuation cable from a first position to a second position. Advantageously, the first biasing member biases the actuation gear unit to move the actuation cable from the second position to the first position.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2017Date of Patent: July 16, 2019Assignee: LEAR CORPORATIONInventors: Mark R. Keyser, Curtis Hudson, Greg Cook, Gary Holt

Patent number: 9304063Abstract: A paint tester station for testing a paint applicator is disclosed. The paint tester station comprises a testing material defining a testing surface suitable for testing a paint applicator thereon, and a housing defining a plurality of walls surrounding a periphery of the testing surface. The housing defines a window providing access to the testing surface. Thus, as paint is applied to the testing surface through the window, the walls cooperate to assist in limiting application of paint to within the periphery of the testing surface.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2013Date of Patent: April 5, 2016Inventor: G. Publication number: 20160057229Abstract: Several different embodiments of a segmented object storage system are described. The object storage system divides files into a number of object segments, each segment corresponding to a portion of the object, and stores each segment individually in the cloud storage system. The system also generates and stores a manifest file describing the relationship of the various segments to the original data file. Requests to retrieve the segmented file are fulfilled by consulting the manifest file and using the information from the manifest to reconstitute the original data file from the constituent segments. Modifying, appending to, or truncating the object is accomplished by manipulating individual segments and the manifest file. In further embodiments, manipulation of the individual object segments and/or the manifest is used to implement copy-on-write, snapshotting, software transactional memory, and peer-to-peer transmission of the large file.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2015Publication date: February 25, 2016Inventors: Michael Barton, Will Reese, John A. Dickinson, Jay B. Payne, Charles B. Thier, Gary Holt
