  • Publication number: 20180003401
Abstract: The present invention is related in general to air circulators, and in particular, to an air circulator with a vein control system to direct and adjust airflow patterns. According to an exemplary embodiment, the present invention provides adjustable, vertical veins that are attached to the outlet of a tower fan. According to a preferred embodiment, the veins are pivotally mounted in such a way that by turning a knob, the veins can either he directed into a focused air-flow pattern or adjusted to a divergent air-flow pattern, or at any setting in between.

  • Patent number: 9430645
Abstract: An event retrieval and analysis system compares counts of event data for a device to stored profile counts to determine if alerts should be triggered. Event data can be retrieved by a sensor. Rules for analyzing the event data can be retrieved based on the device. The event data is analyzed based on the rules to determine recordable events. Recordable events are organized into categories representing a type or severity of attack. Current event counts are calculated by summing the recordable events for each category. A normal profile is retrieved for the device and compared to the current event count. A percentage change trigger can be retrieved from a threshold matrix based on the current event count. The percentage increase of the current event count over the normal profile is calculated and compared to the percentage change trigger to determine if an alert is triggered by the analysis system.

  • Publication number: 20050241630
Abstract: A wind baffle assembly that is configured for use with a stove having a lid pivotably coupled to a bottom housing. The wind baffle assembly includes an upper wind baffle pivotably coupled to the lid, and a lower wind baffle pivotably coupled between the bottom housing and the upper wind baffle.

  • Publication number: 20050213216
Abstract: A lantern that includes a housing and a reflector assembly having at least one reflector panel that is pivotably coupled to the housing and configured to reflect light produced by the lantern. The housing is configured to interface with a fuel tank and a base. The base is separate from the housing and configured both to interface with the housing when the housing is not interfaced with the fuel tank, and to interface with the fuel tank when the housing also is interfaced with the fuel tank.

  • Patent number: 6877461
Abstract: A portable instant water heater. Water is delivered to a base unit of the instant hot water heater by a pump that draws water from a reservoir through a flow control valve. The water flows into a pre-heater that wraps around a base of the burner and that is heated by the burner. Water is heated in a heat exchanger and then exits the base unit through an outlet spout that swings out from the base unit to dispense water and that may be stored and locked into position in a handle for the base unit. The flow control valve may lower the flow of water through the heat exchanger, so the water has more time to absorb heat and to get hotter. The base unit includes a single control knob that turns on the pump and the burner and operates the flow control valve.

  • Patent number: 6575587
Abstract: A light that is mounted on a clamp. The clamp is configured to be attached to different locations on a user's body, and is sufficiently sturdy so that it can support the light in an illumination direction that is fixed relative to the user's body. The light is connected by a cord to a power supply, such as a battery pack or an AC adapter. If a battery pack is used, the battery pack may also include a mechanism, such as a clip, for attaching the battery pack to the clothing or belt of a user. A headband is provided to which the clamp may be attached. The light is pivotally attached to the clamp so the light may be pivoted to illuminate in a desired direction. In addition, the light is rotatably mounted on the clamp arm, permitting the light to illuminate in a wide variety of different angles.

  • Publication number: 20030099657
Abstract: It has long been recognized that effective delivery systems are preferred for chemotherapeutic agents. The present invention addresses this need. First, chemotherapeutic agents are attached to monoclonal antibodies; second, the antibody is combined with DNA to yield a stable heteropolymer; and, third, the drug-heteropolymer is injected in a therapeutically effective amount.
