In an embodiment, the terminal may establish a direct wireless connection to a user-operated device or an indirection wireless connection to the user-operated device through a proxy device. In an embodiment, the wireless connection is automatically established through a different out-of-band wireless communication between the terminal and the user-operated device. In an embodiment, text-based data for the transaction are provided over a second simultaneous wireless connection that is different from the wireless connection associated with providing the audio/speech data. In an embodiment, audio/speech data provided from the user during the transaction are enhanced for security and are filtered for accuracy using audio-based processing and/or image-based processing. In an embodiment, a speech-to-text and text-to-speech interface for a transaction at the terminal is provided.

Abstract: A liquid photochromic filter for attenuating an image is disclosed. The liquid photochromic filter includes a photochromic dye in a liquid solution that is contained in a cavity defined by a housing with two optical windows. The liquid photochromic filter may be used in imaging system for sensing light in an area of high optical contrast. In some implementations, the imaging system is for monitoring a welding operation, whereby the liquid photochromic filter is used to reduce the intensity of the light observed from the welding arc.

Abstract: Various implementations described herein relate to systems and methods for protecting data stored on a Solid State Drive (SSD) against malware, including determining, by a controller of the SSD, a typical traffic profile, receiving, by the controller, commands from a host, and determining, by the controller, that the commands are likely caused by malware by determining that the commands deviate from the typical traffic profile. In response to determining the commands are likely caused by the malware, the controller performs a malware response action.

Obtaining acoustic refracted waveform measurements of the material from a cement bond logging tool, obtaining ultrasonic measurements of the material from a circumferential acoustic scanning tool, obtaining gamma radiation measurements scattered from the material from a circumferential spectral density logging (RSDX) tool by emitting gamma radiation from a radioactive source in a rotating portion of the RSDX and detecting scattered gamma radiation using near and far spectral density detectors, and obtaining thermal neutron radiation measurements scattered from the material from a dual spaced neutron logging tool. A computer obtains measurements and generates a deliverable that includes one or more cross plots that identify a compositional equivalent of the material in an entire circumference of the wellbore.
