  • Publication number: 20130186017
Abstract: Roof-top solar panel system that is held in place on a roof by the solar array. The system includes a softened design including rounded component edges that protect the roof from uplift damage by solar panel structure components with or without mechanical anchoring or ballast.

  • Patent number: 7797906
Abstract: An improved anchoring system for fastening an elastomeric membrane to a roof comprises an anchoring plate with a top planar surface, spaced apart, raised sidewalls over which the membrane may be laid and at least one aperture for securing to a roof. Each sidewall has a retaining lip that extends inwardly from the top planar surface for retaining a spacing insert, a top surface of which has raised flanges, each flange having a retaining lip with a plurality of longitudinally extending gripper ridges. Preferably, the retaining lips on the spacing insert extend over the top surface of the anchoring plate and taper toward one another at one or more areas between their end points. The system further includes a wedge for inserting into a cavity defined by the spacing insert.

  • Publication number: 20090007514
Abstract: A roof seam fastener system including a mechanical fastener member for mechanically attaching a roof membrane to a roof structure. The roof seam fastener system comprises a fastening assembly that creates a seal to either the roof membrane or a roofing substrate located directly below the fastening assembly. This fastening assembly also creates a seal against the mechanical fastener member. This combination results in redundancy which prevents any water penetration into the seam from entering the roofing envelope. The roof seam fastener system improves wind uplift resistance of the roof membrane and minimizes other weather related damage.

  • Publication number: 20080284849
Abstract: The present invention discloses a monitoring system for use at roofing project sites and, in particular, roof installation, repair and replacement sites. The monitoring systems include image-capturing devices, such as cameras that are positioned at a roofing project site and associated transmitters and a transmission system to send the project images to a remote and centralized project management location. The project images are received and processed for review at the project management location. In addition, the monitoring system can include a reciprocal communications system that permits a project manager, in the project management location, to send command signals to the image-capturing devices and adjust the position and focus of these devices.
