  • Publication number: 20220357402
Abstract: A method for non-invasive characterisation of a cell for a battery is provided, the method comprising: measuring a magnetic field generated by the cell using a plurality of magnetic field sensors positioned adjacent to the cell, the measuring producing magnetic field sensor data, wherein the measuring is performed while the cell is in a passive state; determining current density profile data across the cell based on the magnetic field sensor data; and determining a condition of the cell using the current density profile data.

  • Publication number: 20220334192
Abstract: A sensor arrangement for a network of busbar links of a battery module is provided, the sensor arrangement comprising: an array of sensors, each sensor having an output arranged to provide an indication of current in a respective busbar link of the network; a processor coupled to the outputs of the sensors and configured to: receive data from the sensor outputs; process the data to determine a current in each of a set of busbar links that are connected at a node of the network; and compare the currents in the busbar links of the set to determine an overall current at the node.

  • Patent number: 11190021
Abstract: A maximum power point tracking optimizer is connected to and powered by at least one solar cell. The maximum power point tracking optimizer configured to operate: in a pass-through mode when said at least one solar cell voltage is greater than a passthrough threshold and greater than a ratio of the open-circuit voltage of said at least one solar cell, said pass-through mode flowing current through a pass-through circuit; in an optimizing mode when said at least one solar cell voltage is greater than an optimizing threshold and less than a ratio of the open-circuit voltage of said at least one solar cell, said optimizing mode modulating current flow using a DC-to-DC switching circuit to direct the voltage of said at least solar cell towards said ratio of the open-circuit voltage; in an active bypass mode when said at least one solar cell voltage is less than an active bypass threshold, said active bypass mode flowing current through an active bypass circuit.

  • Publication number: 20080114856
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for delivering information, such as a portfolio, on demand and over a wireless network. The system comprises an autonomous portfolio delivery device and a mobile device. The portfolio delivery device has a memory device encoded with portfolio information and embedded software for transmitting the portfolio to the mobile device in response to a request from the mobile device. The mobile device, which may be a laptop or PDA, has special-purpose software for identifying the delivery device when in wireless range. The system enables, for example, a home seller to provide, on demand and in real time, extensive information about the home to a potential buyer. The system enables a potential home buyer to obtain immediate information about the home, such as a photo tour and information regarding schools, community, shopping, etc., while in the vicinity of the property.
