Abstract: A method of emulating a mobile device in a file system of a computer for file transmission includes: enabling a first application program in the computer and a second application program in the mobile device to be running; building a first connection between the computer and the mobile device; transmitting one or more thumbnail files of the mobile device, corresponding to one or more original files respectively, to the computer by the mobile device based on the first connection; creating a quick access shortcut in the file system; displaying the one or more thumbnail files in the file system according to an operation command applied to the quick access shortcut; and transmitting one of the one or more original files from the mobile device to the computer when a second operation command of the computer is applied to a respective one of the one or more thumbnail files.

Abstract: A charging method, suitable for a power supply device connected to a power source and at least one power receiving device, is disclosed. The charging method includes the following operations: charging the at least one power receiving device by a battery of the power supply device and the power source if a power supply capability of the power source is smaller than charging demand of the at least one power receiving device; and charging the at least one power receiving device and the battery by the power source if the power supply capability of the power source is larger than the charging demand of the at least one power receiving device.

Abstract: A connecting method includes the following operations: storing a plurality of MAC addresses by a memory of a docking station; determining a first MAC address of the plurality of MAC addresses by a processor of a docking station, wherein the first MAC address is corresponding to a first electronic device of the plurality of electronic device; establishing a BLUETOOTH connection between the first electronic device and the docking station by the processor; establishing a USB connection or Bluetooth connection between the docking station and a computer by the processor; and pairing the computer and the first electronic device through the docking station.

Abstract: Present disclosure relates to a single layer user interface and a method for providing thereof. The single layer user interface is provided to control a docking interface when peripheral devices are coupled to the docking interface. A selection with only two options is provided on the single layer user interface regardless how many possible manipulations that the docking interface or the peripheral devices can provide. The first option in the selection is a default and most favorable option. The single layer user interface may comprise an optimization module to store the selection record that has been made.

Abstract: A method for launching software applications of a smartphone through a personal computer connected thereto is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: a) operatably connecting the handheld computer to the personal computer; b) the personal computer acquiring information of used times of applications of the handheld computer; c) converting tops of the most frequently used applications into items in a subwindow of the personal computer; and d) launching one of the applications by clicking an item in the subwindow, wherein the clicked item corresponds to the launched application.

Abstract: Present disclosure relates to a docking device for providing backup to mobile devices and a method for providing the same. The docking device of present disclosure is connected between a computer and a storage device. The docking device comprises some ports to connect to a first mobile device and the storage device, wherein the docking device receives a first identity signal from the first mobile device and relays the first identity signal to the computer. A control unit of present disclosure is configured to relay the first identity signal to the computer and receives the first identity signal sent back to the first mobile device by the computer. A backup process is initiated to copy data from the first mobile device to the storage device when the first identity signal is sent back to the first mobile device.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a backup method for a portable device to back up a first data to a backup server. The backup method includes steps of determining whether the backup server can be accessed; when the backup server can be accessed, establishing a first data transmission path that the first data would be backed up to the backup server via a third party, a second data transmission path that the first data would be backed up to the backup server via a router, and a third data transmission path that the first data would directly backed up to the backup server; selecting one data transmission path among the first, second and third data transmission paths; and backing up the first data via the selected data transmission path.

Abstract: A file managing method and a file managing mechanism for processing files from a first electronic device on a second electronic device are provided. The file managing method comprises steps of: detecting whether the first electronic device is connected to the second electronic device; uploading a file to be processed from the first electronic device to the second electronic device while the first electronic device being connected to the second electronic device and being operated by inputting a command for processing the file on the first electronic device; sending the command to the second electronic device; and performing the command on the uploaded file by the second electronic device.
