  • Publication number: 20230331518
Abstract: A battery system for providing standby power to an elevator system is disclosed. The battery system includes a lithium battery cell, a lithium battery module comprising electrically connected cells, a control unit, and a networking unit. The battery system is electrically and communicatively connected to the elevator system and adapted to drive the elevator system when a main power supply is interrupted. Various battery system metrics are reported to the elevator system and, optionally, to a central monitoring station.

  • Publication number: 20230289901
Abstract: A lithium-ion battery system (LBS), energy supply chain, and method of governing and recording energy management events are disclosed. The LBS may comprise at least one battery cell, at least one battery module, and a control unit. The energy supply chain may comprise a generator, a distributor, a consumer, an energy storage system, and a plurality of control units connected to each component of the supply chain. The control unit is configured to govern and record energy management events by connecting to a blockchain and by creating, validating, appending, and executing energy management events as blocks on the blockchain. The energy management events includes a power optimization for a single component of the energy supply chain and transactions between two components of the energy supply chain.

  • Publication number: 20200387593
Abstract: A distributed computing architecture is provided that decentralizes consensus with a continuously growing list of records (blocks), which are linked and secured using secure cryptography layered over stored and generated energy system management techniques. Data is stored in a nested contiguous arrangement of these blocks, and once a secure password is recorded, the data in any given block cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of subsequent blocks, requiring the cooperation of the network majority.

  • Patent number: 6724301
Abstract: A system for monitoring various engineering conditions of a vehicle tire/wheel assembly such as temperature, pressure, tire rotation and other operating conditions of the tire and wheel. A tag with radio frequency read/write capability is located on the tire and includes data storage of tire identification and tire specific information. A tag with radio frequency read/write capability is located on the wheel and includes data storage of wheel identification and wheel specific information. Either tag may act as permanent storage devices including the information of both tags when queried by transmitted radio frequency waves.

  • Patent number: 4679694
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a carton and a blank and a method for forming the carton for packaging ice cream or the like. The carton blank comprises front, bottom, rear and cover panels. A closure flap is hingedly connected to a top edge of the cover panel that opposes the rear panel. An end flap extends from each end edge of the cover panel, rear panel, bottom panel and front panel. A single tear strip is formed in the closure flap. Also, a single tear strip is formed in the end flap extending from the front panel. Upon removal of the tear strips, the carton can completely unfold and the contents therein can be readily accessed in brick form from all sides.

  • Patent number: 4592121
Abstract: An integral tire and rim assembly includes a flanged annulus having an uninterrupted, substantially constant diameter outer surface, a centrally disposed spider and a tire having inextensible beads of a diameter smaller than the diameter of the rim flanges. A method for fabricating the integral tire and rim comprises the steps of forming an annulus having a substantially uniform diameter and a first generally radially extending flange, forming a spider, securing the spider within the flange, mounting a tire on the rim and forming a second generally radially extending flange in the annulus, thereby securing the tire on the rim between the two flanges.
