  • Publication number: 20180235383
Abstract: A modular smart shelf for use in detecting and reading in real time, via Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), RFID-tagged or labeled articles disposed on or proximate the smart shelf. The smart shelf has a non-metallic low density core layer having opposed top and bottom faces, and an outer perimeter edge, antennae disposed on the top and/or bottom face of the core layer, and a thermoplastic or resinous surface sheet covering the antennae and secured to the top and bottom faces of the core layer. The modular shelf can additionally have a molded frame secured along the outer perimeter of the core layer, an RF transceiver electrically connected to the antennae and secured within a cavity of the rear molded member, and a power and communications connector connecting the RF transceiver with a front video display panel and with power and communications components in a support base of a shelf gondola.

  • Patent number: 9418267
Abstract: A modular shelf for an integrated display structure that addresses the mutually important, yet unrelated issues of inventory control, shelf labeling and point of purchase advertising. The modular shelf has a non-metallic low density core, a molded frame secured along the outer perimeter of the core, a thermoplastic or resinous sheet secured to each of the top face and the bottom face of the core, and a plurality of antennae embedded within at least one of the top sheet and the bottom sheet. An RF or other electronic transceiver is electrically connected to the antennae secured within a cavity of the rear molded member, and a power and communications connects the RF transceiver with a front video display panel and with power and communications components in a support base of a shelf gondola.

  • Patent number: 6023898
Abstract: Metal building framing components are joined with double-sided adhesive tape positioned between the first connection surface of a first metal framing component and a second connection surface of a second metal framing component. The connection surfaces may be a wall surface or the surface of a tab projecting from the end of a wall. The double-sided adhesive tape is formed of a closed-cell acrylic foam carrier having pressure sensitive adhesive on both sides.

  • Patent number: 5992112
Abstract: A floor structure for a manufactured building is formed of a steel I-beam frame having a horizontal upper surface to which is secured a plurality of adjacent composite floor panels. Each panel is formed of a resin impregnated, kraft paper, honeycomb core or inner section having opposed faces and a continuous outer periphery; a wooden frame about the periphery of the honeycomb core; and full hard steel skins secured to opposite sides of the frame and across opposed faces of the honeycomb core. The floor structure can further polyurethane foam insulation panels spaced beneath, and parallel to, the floor panels, and supported by brackets attached to the steel frame and to floor panels, brackets to secure the structure to ground anchors, and conductive tape to ground the panel surfaces.

  • Patent number: 5899037
Abstract: A wall structure for a manufactured building is constructed of a plurality of adjacent composite panels, each panel having a honeycomb core and exterior and interior steel skins; vertical tubular steel studs having openings for carrying electrical wiring are secured to the exterior skins of the panels with double-sided adhesive tape. Interior surfacing material is attached to the interior skins; exterior surfacing material attached to the studs; insulation material is positioned between the studs; and splines extend between adjacent panels to improve rigidity. Bottom and top attachment plates attach the wall structure to the rest of the building.
