Patent number: 7698498Abstract: In some embodiments a memory controller is disclosed that includes at least one command/address input buffer to receive commands and addresses. The addresses specify a memory bank and a location within the memory bank. An arbiter, coupled to the at least one command/address input buffer, merges commands and addresses from the at least one command/address input buffer and sorts the commands and addresses based on the addresses specified. A plurality of bank buffers, coupled to the arbiter and associated with memory banks, receive commands and addresses for their associated memory banks. A scheduler, coupled to the plurality of bank buffers, groups commands and addresses based on an examination of at least one command and address from the bank buffers. Other embodiments are otherwise disclosed herein.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2005Date of Patent: April 13, 2010Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Sridhar Lakshmanamurthy, Dharmin Y. Publication number: 20080172723Abstract: A method of collecting data in a lock system. The method includes providing each user with a credential that contains user information, presenting the credential at an off-line access point, and reading the user information from the credential. The method also includes analyzing the user information at the first off-line access point to determine if access to the first off-line access point should be allowed, sending event data from the off-line access point to the credential, and selectively overwriting existing event data and storing the sent event data on the credential. The invention further includes presenting the credential at an on-line access point and reading the user data and reading the event data.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 16, 2007Publication date: July 17, 2008Inventors: Dominic Pesapane, Michael Cote, Gary Lavelle

Publication number: 20060250982Abstract: Methods and systems for discovering a device connectable to a network. One method may include attempting to obtain a dynamic address for the device; creating a first default address for the device, if the dynamic address for the device cannot be obtained; assigning the dynamic address as a network address of the device, if the dynamic address is obtained; assigning the first default address as a network address of the device, if the dynamic address is not obtained; attempting to obtain an address of a discovery device; creating a second default address for the device based upon the address of the discovery device, if the dynamic address for the device was not obtained; assigning the second default address as the network address for the device; and reporting the network address of the device to the discovery device.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 5, 2005Publication date: November 9, 2006Applicant: Harrow Products LLCInventors: James Yuan, James Krul, Gary Lavelle

Publication number: 20050179267Abstract: A control system is for a lock of a door movably disposed within a frame and having a latch engageable with the frame, an interior handle connected with the latch and an exterior handle connectable with the latch. A connective mechanism is configured to releasably connect the exterior handle with the latch and an input device is configured to generate an unlock signal. A controller is coupled with the input device and configured to operate the connective mechanism such that the mechanism connects the exterior handle with the latch. The controller is selectively operable in a standard mode where the controller operates the mechanism when the controller receives the unlock signal and a lockdown mode where the controller does not operate the mechanism when receiving the unlock signal. A lockdown-input device coupled with the controller is configured to generate a lockdown signal to switch the controller to the lockdown mode.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2005Publication date: August 18, 2005Applicant: Harrow Products LLCInventors: Michael Cote, George Frolov, Gary Lavelle

Publication number: 20050128050Abstract: A door security system for controlling access through a door of a secured area by controlling a lock status of an associated locking unit of the door. The system includes an operator that operates the locking unit of the door, a key pad, a magnetic card reader, and a contact activatable data port. A data processor is responsive to the magnetic card reader, the data port, and the keypad for controlling the operator. Each of the keypad, the magnetic card reader, and the contact activatable data port can manipulate the lock status of the locking unit of the door. The data processor further comprises link means for requiring multiple entries for implementing the lock status of the door.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 27, 2005Publication date: June 16, 2005Applicant: Harrow Products, LLCInventors: George Frolov, Gary Lavelle, Leon Boiucaner, Michael Cote, Dominic Pesapane

Patent number: 5649142Abstract: A method and apparatus for translating a first address in a first address space, such as a processor address space, to a second address in a second address space, such as system address space, and for accessing a service routine in response to a page fault, are described. In one embodiment, the apparatus for translating comprises a processor; a page table having a translation mask register, a comparison value register, and a replacement value register; and a comparator coupled to the comparison value register and to the replacement value register. A programmable mask within the translation mask register is employed to partition a virtual address. A first subaddress comprises a subset of the bits of the first address and a second subaddress comprises remaining bits of the first address. The first subaddress is masked with a programmable mask value in the translation mask register and is compared by the comparator with successive values in the comparison value register until a match comparison value is found.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1995Date of Patent: July 15, 1997Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Gary Lavelle, Louis A. Patent number: 5065136Abstract: An exit door security system which employs an electromagnet and armature to lock an exit door comprises an electromagnetic housing and a frame assembly. The housing is pivotally mounted to the frame assembly. An attempt to exit the door causes the housing to pivot to thereby actuate a switch. The lock is automatically released after a pre-established time delay. An alarm at the door may also be actuated by the switch. The electronic circuitry is configured to allow for immediate authorized egress and to implement an immediate safety release of the lock. The lock may be operated in either a normally locked or normally unlocked mode.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1990Date of Patent: November 12, 1991Assignee: Harrow Products, Inc.Inventors: George Frolov, Gary Lavelle, James J. Scott
