    Abstract: An apparatus and method for transaction processing for a search transaction is disclosed. Search queries from users are received by an intermediate computing device. Each search query includes a user address and search criteria. The search criteria is normalized by the intermediate computing device to produce normalized search criteria. The normalized search criteria is then transmitted from the intermediate computing device to the search engine. The search engine performs a search using the normalized search criteria. The search engine then generates and sends a response to the intermediate computing device that includes search results. The intermediate computing device receives the results, generates responses to each search query using the receives search results, and sends responses to each user. In another embodiment, a software program is installed on the search engine computing device.
