    Abstract: The present invention relates to a hose comprising an innermost rubber layer, a polyamide barrier layer overlaying the innermost rubber layer, a friction rubber layer overlaying the barrier layer, a reinforcing layer overlaying the friction rubber layer, and a cover layer overlaying the reinforcing layer, wherein the innermost rubber layer is comprised of a rubber composition comprising: from about 70 to about 90 parts by weight of a first ethylene-propylene-diene (EPDM) terpolymer having an ethylene content of from about 45 to about 65 percent by weight; and from about 10 to about 30 parts by weight of a second EPDM having an ethylene content of from about 65 to about 80 percent by weight; wherein the ethylene content of the first EPDM is from about 3 to about 20 percent by weight less than the ethylene content of the second EPDM.
