Publication number: 20240151969Abstract: A head-up display system includes an eye-box having a first and second dimension, an image projector including a picture generating unit and an optical system, and a movement assembly. The picture generating unit includes a spatial light modulator arranged to spatially modulate light in accordance with a hologram. The optical system relays the spatially modulated light to an optical combiner. The movement assembly moves at least a portion of the image projector rectilinearly between a plurality of positions such that at least one component of the picture generating unit is moved together with the optical system. Spatially modulated light relayed to the optical combiner forms a virtual image viewable from a sub-eye-box having a position in the first dimension being dependent on the position of the at least a portion of the image projector. The eye-box is the sum of the sub-eye-boxes associated with each of the plurality of positions.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2023Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Michael Spurr, Daniel Molina, Gary Mills

Patent number: 11846775Abstract: A head-up display arranged to form a virtual image viewable from an eye-box area. The head-up display is arranged to received picture content within a sub-region of a substantially quadrilateral display area. The head-up display further comprises an optical relay system arranged to relay the received picture content to an eye-box of the head-up display such that a virtual image of the picture content is visible therefrom. The optical relay system comprises at least one optical component shaped in correspondence with the shape of the sub-region. The shape of the eye-box area is non-rectangular such as a corner-cropped rectangular shape or elliptical shape.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2021Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: Envisics LtdInventors: Jamieson Christmas, Michael Spurr, Daniel Molina, Gary Mills

Publication number: 20230285660Abstract: A patient care system is disclosed that includes a medical device such as an infusion pump. The medical device generates a data message containing information such as the status of the therapy being delivered, operating data or both. An alarm generating system assesses the data message from the pump and generates an alarm message if certain conditions established by a first set of rules are met. The alarm message is assessed according to a second set of rules as to whether to suppress the alarm message. The data message contains a required input for both the first and second algorithms. A dispatching system is adapted to forward the alarm message to an alarm destination according to a third set of rules. The alarm destination expresses an alarm upon receipt of the alarm message.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2023Publication date: September 14, 2023Inventors: William Kenneth Day, Steve Joseph Lindo, Paul John Foryt, Justin Joseph Schmidt, Robert Cousineau, Michael Kremliovsky, Sumant Ramachandra, Anatoly S. Publication number: 20150379237Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for receiving auto-programming requests to deliver medication at an infusion pump. The pump may receive the request and analyze the auto-programming settings. The infusion pump may also compare the auto-programming settings with program settings stored in a drug library. When the pump detects an error in the auto-programming request, the pump may generate and display an error message that specifically identifies the cause of the error. The pump may also display a suggested action that may be taken to eliminate the error message.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2015Publication date: December 31, 2015Inventors: Gary Mills, Kristina E. Wilson, James Cudney, Mihaela Cozmi, Wanda F. Marker, Jeffrey E. Rinda, Dennis G. Krabbe

Patent number: 8940212Abstract: There is disclosed a method for producing a molded plastic product having an outer skin and in inner core. The method is particularly suitable for making structural products such as panels or the like from recycled plastic material. The method comprises the steps of: providing a mold having a mold cavity; forming an outer skin from a first plastic material on at least two opposed surfaces inside the mold cavity; forming an inner core from a second plastic material inside the mold cavity; and at least partially curing the plastic materials to form a molding inside the mold cavity via the application of heat. The method is characterised by the subsequent steps of (optionally pre-cooling the molding and then) simultaneously cooling the molding and compressing the molding so as to reduce its size in at least one dimension to a desired dimension of the finished product.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2012Date of Patent: January 27, 2015Assignee: 100 Percent Recycled Panel Company LimitedInventor: Gary Mills

Patent number: 7959658Abstract: A medical, electrically powered thermal cover for fitting predominantly the trunk and head of a person experiencing or potentially experiencing traumatic or cold-exposure hypothermia. The thermal cover encases all of the torso and neck, and portions of other body areas. Heating may be distinctly non-uniform, being applied to the body surface only in special regions where the body's capacity for heat uptake may be relatively high. In sum, the system may monitor deep body core temperature, direct heat to the body core where it may be most needed, and controls therapy over time to restore normothermia.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2006Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Assignee: ThermoGear, Inc.Inventors: R.
