  • Publication number: 20220331944
Abstract: A convertible rolling workbench supports a worker when sitting or kneeling. The workbench includes a bench structure that can be used alone or selectively attached to a dolly. The bench structure includes two vertical leg assemblies. Each leg assembly includes two legs and upper and lower support bars extending between the two legs near their first and second opposite ends. The bench structure is affixed to the two leg assemblies and offset from the workbench's horizontal center axis. The dolly includes two horizontal frame members and an intermediate planar member extending between them. Attached to each horizontal frame member is a caster wheel. Each frame member includes a receiver configured to receive said first or second ends of the vertical legs on said leg assemblies. The user may also rotate the bench seat assembly over the dolly or directly over a support surface to position the seat at different elevations above the support surface.

  • Patent number: 10179862
Abstract: An optically clear biofouling resistant coating compositions specially formulated for very high light transmission and more particularly coating compositions which can be applied to marine instruments and sensors. The compositions provide a biofouling resistant coating on the surface of the marine instruments and sensors which prevents underwater organisms from adhering and growing on the surfaces of the structures over a long period of time.

  • Publication number: 20170334059
Abstract: A convertible elongated stepping bench configured to be uses as a standard step stool or a low profile sitting or kneeling platform. The bench includes an elongated rectangular, lightweight rigid frame with two opposite leg assemblies. Each leg assembly includes two pivotally attached rigid legs. Each leg is pivotally attached to a corner of the rigid frame. The leg assemblies pivot between a diagonally downward position that supports the rigid frame in an elevated position over the ground or fold inward, under and rigid frame. Attached to the outside surface of each leg near the pivoting hinge is a foot pad. Extending downward from the bottom surface of the rigid frame are at least two leg stops. When the legs are folded inward, the distal end of each leg rests against a leg stop so that the leg's axis is parallel to the rigid frame's longitudinal axis. When the leg assemblies are folded inward and the bench is placed on the ground, the feet pads on the legs supports the bench on the ground.

  • Patent number: 8888188
Abstract: A portable kneeling support pad used protect and reduce stress on the user's knees when kneeling or standing up from a kneeling position. The support pad includes a flat rectangular base with a chemical resistant, resilient top surface and a flat bottom surface. Attached near one end of the base is a perpendicularly aligned support pole with a handle attached to its distal end. The handle includes a horizontal gripping member that a user may grip when kneeling or standing to an upright position. The base includes a stub perpendicularly aligned with the top surface that selectively engages the lower end of the support pole. Disposed around the upper end of the stub is an adjustable clamp that enables the support pole to rotate 360 degrees around the stub and to move longitudinally relative to the stub to decrease or increase the height of the handle over the support pad.

  • Patent number: 7835222
Abstract: An anti-biofouling seismic streamer casing (100,100?) is provided that is formed by a flexible tubing (110) coated with a layer of a two-part heat cured silicone elastomer (120). The seismic streamer casing (100, 100?) is formed by a method that includes steps of providing a flexible tubing (200) and pre-treating the outer surface of the tubing (210). Two parts of a two-part silicone elastomer are then mixed together (220). The method also includes coating the mixed two-part silicone elastomer on the flexible tubing (230), and heating the flexible tubing to cure the coating (240).

  • Patent number: 6720874
Abstract: A portal access control system is disclosed for preventing unauthorized entry from a public area into a secure area. The system utilizes input from several different sensors, including: passive IR sensors, motion detectors, photo detectors and authentication devices. Also, the passage time of an individual through the open portal may be determined. Based on selected combinations of one or more sensor inputs, the portal access control system can detect passage into the secure area by a lone perpetrator and also by tailgating behind an authorized user.
