  • Publication number: 20060213375
Abstract: A juicer attachment which can be latched onto a motor housing includes an upper cover and a lower cover attached to said upper cover to define a gear chamber. The drive for a rotary straining and juicing basket includes telescopically engaged upper and lower drive shafts with spaced heat dissipating bushings and speed reduction gears in the gear chamber. At least one spring biases at least one drive shaft upwardly to normally disengage at least two gears in the chamber so that the motor can be left running while the rotary parts of the juicer attachment remain stationary.

  • Publication number: 20060065133
Abstract: An electrically powered juicer comprising a housing enclosing a feed chamber for reception of fruit or vegetables to be juiced, a juice chamber having a juice outlet, a rotary cutter, a rotary juice filter separating the feed chamber from the juice chamber and a perforated juice velocity reducer supported in the juice chamber at an elevation above the juice outlet to reduce turbulence and splashing, particularly at high speeds of rotation.

  • Patent number: 6050180
Abstract: A fruit and vegetable juicer having a cover, a filter sieve, a collection bowl, a collection bowl top orifice, and a feeding tube located within the cover, wherein the cover has a helical recess extending upward from and in pulp-extraction communication with the collection bowl periphery. The helical recess in the cover also has a beginning portion and an ending portion in communication with a pulp outlet. The pulp outlet extends from the ending portion of the helical recess to provide controlled exit of the pulp from the helical recess for collection. The feeding tube is located in the cover so as to not disrupt pulp extraction through the helical recess, whereby pulp is efficiently and automatically extracted from the filter sieve area while the juice is collected in the collecting bowl.

  • Patent number: 5028854
Abstract: A motor drive having a sensing input for sensing fault conditions and a speed control input for receiving a speed control signal. The variable speed motor drive is suitable for being powered by a power supply coupled to a supply input and controls motor speed in a variable speed motor based on the speed control signal such that the motor speed corresponds to the level of the speed control signal. The disclosed motor drive includes a power interrupter, coupled between the supply input and the variable speed motor, for controllably interrupting power to the motor as well a a drive controller coupled to the motor drive for monitoring the sensing input and causing the power interrupter to interrupt power when a fault condition occurs. The drive also provides that speed control signal to the speed control input at a level which stops the motor when a fault condition occurs.
