  • Patent number: 11247540
Abstract: A vehicle door includes a first interlock coupled to an inner frame panel. A second interlock coupled to an inner trim panel. The first and second interlocks are separated to define a ready state. During an impact condition, the first and second interlocks selectively engage one another to define an impact state that resists deflection of the inner trim panel away from the inner frame panel.

Date of Patent: February 15, 2022
    Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLC

  • Publication number: 20070205642
Abstract: A storage console for an automotive vehicle includes a rear wall which is hingedly attached to the console's base unit, for rotation about an axis generally transverse to the vehicle. An armrest is attached to the rear wall and is preferably articulated to the rear wall, so as to effect a double-articulation sufficient to permit the armrest to be rotated into a horizontal position, which allows passengers seated in the rear seats of the vehicle to use features incorporated into the interior surface of the armrest.

  • Publication number: 20070078467
Abstract: A depilatory device includes flexible sheets that are coupled together to define a pouch. At least one side of the pouch is at least partially covered with an adhesive layer. Before or during a surgical operation, a user places their hand in a pocket formed in the pouch and then places the pouch in contact with a patient's skin to remove potential contaminants, such as hair, debris, and other particulates. The flexibility of the pouch permits it to readily conform to various contours of the patient. The pouch, after picking the aforementioned contaminants, can then be inverted (e.g., flipped inside-out) and sealed to keep the contaminants within the inverted pouch and not allow them back into the surgical environment. The inverted pouch can then be disposed of in a biological waste bin, for example.

  • Publication number: 20050054983
Abstract: An apparatus for treating pneumothorax and/or hemothorax that does not require the assembly of parts and can be used by medical personnel with minimal experience and training in treating these conditions. The apparatus comprises a trocar obturator unit comprising a stylet having a point for puncturing the chest or other body cavity, and a stopper integrally attached to the stylet. The catheter assembly is comprised of a tube dimensioned to receive the stylet and a hub integrally attached to the distal end of the catheter assembly for receiving the stopper. The one-way valve composed of a pliable material covers the hub. The lumen of the one-way valve is continuous with the lumens of the tube and the hub of the catheter assembly. The trocar obturator unit also includes a pull handle for safely removing the trocar obturator unit from the catheter assembly in accordance with the method of the invention.
