  • Publication number: 20070164580
Abstract: A cable operated slide-out mechanism for a recreational vehicle has a linear actuator mounted in a fixed channel alongside the room or compartment and an end of each cable is fixed to the channel. Four cables are provided on each side of the slide-out, with two of the cables on each side fixed to the frame on the top and going to the outside of the slide-out, on the top and bottom, and the other two cables fixed to the frame on the bottom and going to the inside of the room on the top and bottom. Pulleys are provided at each end of the actuator rod to pull on the cables so as to move the room such that the room movement is double the stroke of the actuator.

  • Publication number: 20060051868
Abstract: The present invention provides methods for initiating, capturing, maintaining and multiplying embryogenic cultures of coniferous plants. Methods include the use of novel media compositions containing folic acid, biotin, pH buffers, gibberellin inhibitors and gas-tight environment treatments to improve the frequency of embryogenic tissue initiation, capture, maintenance and multiplication. The methods are well suited for initiating embryogenic cultures in recalcitrant conifer varieties. The method is also well suited for producing somatic embryos that can be further cultured to produce large numbers of plants. Further, the invention provides novel methods that may be used to enhance somatic embryogenesis in a broad range of species.

  • Publication number: 20050161963
Abstract: A gear operated pivoting travel lock secures a slide-out section of a vehicle in a retracted position. The travel lock includes a gear box, containing two mating worm gears, that mounts to a wall of the slide-out section. The drive gear is mounted at the end of an operating member and the driven gear is mounted to an axle. Two pivot arms are mounted at the ends of the axle. Turning the operating member, preferably by a handle member, rotates the drive gear to mesh with the driven gear. As the driven gear rotates, the pivot arms swing out from a collapsed position to an engaged position. When the slide-out section is retracted within the vehicle, a pressure pad at the end of the pivot arms clamps against an interior surface of the vehicle wall. When the travel lock is collapsed the slide-out section can be moved between the retracted and extended positions.

  • Publication number: 20050140100
Abstract: A leveling leg assembly adapted for mounting to a vehicle includes an outer member and an inner member telescoped slidably into the outer member. The inner member has a first end extending beyond the outer member. Means for driving the inner member telescopically drives the inner member out of the outer member from a retracted position toward an extended position. A first bracket is fixed to the outer member, and a second bracket is fixable to the vehicle, wherein one of the first and second brackets has a plurality of holes formed therethrough, and the other of the first and second brackets has at least one hole formed therethrough that is aligned with at least one of the plurality of holes to fix the first bracket relative to the second bracket at a desired height relative to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6492174
Abstract: The present invention provides methods for initiating embryogenic cultures of plants. The methods include the use of novel media compositions and elevated atmospheric pressure treatments to improve the frequency of embryogenic culture initiation.
