  • Publication number: 20120224793
Abstract: A manufacturing method for producing a plurality of polymeric drawtape bags, the method including: a) dispensing a film of polymeric pliable material; b) producing a web of folded and sealed polymeric panels from the film, the web including a plurality of polymeric bags having a pair of drawtapes added into a pair of hems proximate a bag opening with a series of notches produced near lateral edges of each of the hems exposing the drawtapes with a series of lateral seals applied to the exposed drawtapes within the notches; c) measuring a relative placement of the series of notches with respect to the seals; and d) providing feedback to a notch production system to improve placement of the series of lateral seals of the exposed drawtapes within the notches by accurately locating the series of notches produced along the web.

  • Publication number: 20100017600
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods, apparatus, and systems for implementing a secure neighbor cache preload. The method includes initiating a data transfer request. The data transfer request is associated with a sequence of bytes. Further, receiving bytes associated with the data transfer request. Further, the method includes storing the bytes in the client system's personal cache, and processing the data transfer request through a filtering system. The filtering system is configured to determine whether the sequence of bytes is to be relayed to the plurality of clients. Then, based on the data transfer request passing through the filtering system, echoing the sequence of bytes to the plurality of client systems within the LAN using an Internet protocol (IP) broadcast operation, and storing within each of the plurality of client systems' public caches at least a portion of the relayed sequence of bytes associated with the data transfer request.

  • Publication number: 20060061658
Abstract: A system for stabilising video signals generated by a video camera which may be mounted in an unstable manner includes a digital processing means for manipulation of each incoming image that attempts to overlay features of the current image onto similar features of a previous image. A mask is used that prevents parts of the image that are likely to cause errors in the overlaying process from being used in the calculation of the required movement to be applied to the image. The mask may include areas where small movements of the image have been detected, and many also include areas where image anomalies including excess noise have been detected. The invention also discloses means for dealing with wanted movements of the camera, such as pan or zoom, and also discloses means for dealing with the edges of video signals as processed by the system. A method is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5148469
Abstract: A paging system and method utilize a trunk interface module which is capable of recognizing unique identification numbers, which comprise the telephone number which a caller dials to reach a particular paging receiver. The relative-digit-independent truck interface module is located between the telephone company central switch and the computer in the central clearing house and is capable of recognizing and relaying a set of at least seven digits, which comprise the unique receiver's identification number, wherein the values of the digit and the identification number are completely random, i.e., the digits are not necessarily representative of telephone numbers/identification numbers, in a particular telephone exchange. The system also includes a separate inward dialing portion which does not use the interface module and which requires the manual entry of receiver identification numbers.

  • Patent number: 4977399
Abstract: In a ratio paging system of the type having digital data modulated onto radio signals transmitted from a radio station to receiving units at remote sites, a test system. The test system includes a transmitter test module coupled to a radio transmitter at the station and a test bed module located at the remote site. The transmitter test module includes a microprocessor for generating digital test data, and a modulator coupled to the microprocessor for modulating the test data onto a radio signal and for injecting the radio signal into the station transmitter. The test bed includes a receiver for receiving the modulated radio signal, a demodulator for demodulating the received radio signal to recover the digital test data, and a computer for processing the recovered digital test data to generate paging test information. The mobile test bed also includes means for determining the latitude and longitude of a site to generate digital location data which is used to generate test information.
