  • Patent number: 9347894
Abstract: An imaging system may include a main enclosure having at least one access door that defines a substantially light-tight imaging compartment when the access door is in a closed position. An object platform provided within the main enclosure holds an object to be imaged. A camera system positioned on a first side of the object platform is operable to capture a visible light image of the object. A radiation detector positioned on the first side of the object platform is moveable from a first position to a second position across a field of view of the camera system. The radiation detector is operable to capture a radiographic image of the object by moving the radiation detector from the first position to the second position while detecting radiation from the object.

  • Patent number: 7285786
Abstract: The scintillating screen of digital imaging systems used in conventional transmission electron microscopy is discretized and the scintillating material is contained in a cellular structure having a geometry judiciously selected for coupling to the optical channels of the imaging system. This allows optical matching, without smearing, between the elements of the scintillating screen and the discrete light-collecting and light-registering optical channels of the system. Cross-talk among optical channels is consequently minimized and the resulting light-imaging resolution of the digital imaging system is optimized.

  • Patent number: 5338948
Abstract: The light gathering capability or quantum efficiency of a charge-coupled device is improved by the configuration of the multi-phase gate structure to leave large surface areas of the semiconductor substrate uncovered. Each of the electrodes of the multi-phase gate structure is configured as a series of shallow H-shaped geometries, only the vertical elements of which overlap to ensure that multi-phase operation can be achieved.
