  • Patent number: 10251999
Abstract: A catheter insertion device (10) includes a housing (12) with a base (14), a catheter (28), an introducer needle (30) and an actuator (26) mounted within the housing. The catheter (28) and needle (30) are coupled to the actuator (26) and movable between a first position where the catheter and needle are retracted within the housing and a second position where the catheter (28) and needle (30) extend from the housing, and where the needle retracts into the actuator when the catheter and needle reach the second position. A spring (90) is provided in the housing (12) or the actuator (26) where the spring (90) is released after deployment of the device to retract the needle (20) with respect to the catheter (28).

  • Publication number: 20180328033
Abstract: A wall panel for a quick assemble wall system may include a first upright post and a second upright post. The wall panel may also include a lower stretcher for connecting the first upright post to the second upright post and an upper stretcher for connecting the first upright post to the second upright post. The wall panel may include at least one frame for placement within the first vertical post, the second vertical post, the lower stretcher, and the upper stretcher. The wall panel may include a first retractable latch located on the at least one frame, the first retractable latch adapted to engage at least one of the first upright post, second upright post, lower stretcher, or upper stretcher. A frame for a quick assemble wall system and a method of assembling a quick assemble wall system are also described.

  • Publication number: 20170021096
Abstract: An insulin infusion device (1A) is disclosed. The device includes a body (3A), cannula (70) housed in the body (1A), a cannula insertion device (10, 20, 23) and a cannula retraction device (20, 23, 30). When the cannula insertion device is activated, the cannula (70) extends at least partly out of the body (1A) and into an infusion site and when the cannula retraction device is activated after the cannula insertion device has been activated, the cannula (70) retracts into the body (1A).

  • Patent number: 6595387
Abstract: An apparatus and method for dispensing individual sheets of stack of adhesive coated sheets is disclosed. The apparatus is comprised of a carriage for receiving the stack of adhesive coated sheets; reciprocating means for intermittently driving the carriage from a first rest position to a second rest position and vice versa; and guiding means for directing the distal edge of a sheet from a guide input to a guide output as the carriage is driven by the reciprocating means from the first rest position to the second rest position or vice versa. The invention is useful for dispensing said sheets without requiring that each sheet be pulled through or drawn out the guide output under the force of the releasable adhesive bond between adjacent sheets. Using the invention, one may cause a sheet to be dispensed to a position where it is accessible to the user only when the sheet is actually needed.
