Abstract: Systems and methods for translating strings of a stringed instruments as well as providing for adjustable tensioning. In embodiments, a stringed instrument, may include an instrument body having a front side and a back side wherein, as with most stringed instruments, the strings are disposed on the front side of the body for playing. Different from conventional stringed instruments though, at least a portion of at least one string may be disposed on the backside of the body as well. Thus, a first set of string anchor points are disposed on front side and a second set of string anchor points are disposed on the back side. That is, the strings are translated form the front side to the back side by passing the one or more translated strings through an aperture in the body called a through-bridge. Further, embodiments may include additional versatility by having adjustable tensioning systems.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments include a system including an animal health device configured to receive animal health data, the animal health device including an array of non-contact transducers, lasers or sensors to detect the animal health data. The animal health data may include heart rate, heart rhythm, respiration rate, calories burned, an activity level, a sleep score, body temperature, or pulse oximetry and the animal health data may be received without touching a skin surface of an animal.

Abstract: A merchandising system for articles comprising a first divider providing a sidewall and a generally longitudinal member along the sidewall and a second divider providing a sidewall and a generally longitudinal member along the sidewall. The first divider is coupled to the second divider to form a compartment for the articles between the sidewall of the first compartment and the sidewall of the second compartment. The compartment has a front and a back. A support for the articles is provided within the compartment between the sidewall of the first divider and the sidewall of the second divider from adjacent the front of the compartment to adjacent the back of the compartment by the member on the first divider and the member on the second divider.

In addition, the merchandising system comprises an assembly for advancing the articles toward the front of the base, wherein the assembly comprises a member configured to extend beyond the base to create a second space for containing the articles in addition to the first space.

The plurality of bases comprise side supports for coupling with the first connector. The first connector comprises portions configured to engage the side supports of the plurality of bases. The first connector is adapted to support the first base in an upper position relative to the second base and the second base in a lower position relative to the first base when the portions of the first connector configured to engage the side supports of the plurality of bases are coupled to the apertures of the plurality of bases.

Abstract: A merchandising system for presenting and storing articles on a platform comprising a base configured to move between a first position and a second position and a pusher slidably coupled to the base and providing force on the articles. The base comprises one or more grooves configured to engage a portion of the platform when the base is in the second position thereby at least partially restraining the base from moving beyond the second position when the base is moved from the second position to the first position. The base may be moved from the second position to the first position.
