  • Patent number: 11988022
Abstract: The housing lock includes a barrel, a screw and a bumper. The screw and bumper are threadedly engaged with one another and slidably engaged with the barrel. A barrel passageway includes a screw stop limiting sliding of the screw and bumper assembly in the distal direction and a bumper stop limiting sliding of the screw and bumper assembly in the proximal direction. The barrel includes feet. The perimeter defined by the feet is selected to closely fit within a housing passage in order to limit rotational movement of the housing lock within the housing passageway. The length of the feet is selected to prevent manipulation of the lockout of the housing passageway once the lock is secured to the housing. The barrel provides an exterior housing stop limiting movement of the housing lock relative to the housing in a distal direction. The bumper provides an interior housing stop limiting movement of the housing lock relative to the housing in a proximal direction.

  • Patent number: 11522311
Abstract: A port protector is provided for locking insert into a communication port of electronic equipment. The port protector comprises a base member defining a support surface extending longitudinally between outer and inner ends. The locking member is deflectively coupled to the base member by a spine member extending transversely therebetween. The locking member includes an anchored portion attached to the spine member and a plank portion projecting longitudinally inward therefrom to terminate at a free end, such that the plank portion extends over the support surface of the base member. An engagement member extends from the plank portion of the locking member and is configured for retentively engaging the communication port when disposed at a locking position therein. The engagement member is releasable from the locking position responsive to the spine member being severed to decouple the locking and base members from one another.

  • Patent number: 9843134
Abstract: A cable seal is provided for attachment to a cable connector. The cable seal generally includes a base portion and a breakaway portion. The breakaway includes a tooth which is positioned under the cable release lever to prevent removal of the cable connector from a communications port. If removal of the cable seal is desired, a breakaway portion of the cable seal is permanently detached from the remainder of the cable seal evidencing access to the port has been gained.

  • Patent number: 9710677
Abstract: A port protector is provided by a base member that engages the port and a slidably mounted slide member. Locking members are provided on the base member and the slide member such that when the locking members are engage the slide member does not slide relative to the base member. Unlocking of the port protector is achieved by removing or perforating a tongue of the base. Removal of the tongue provides evidence that access to the port was achieved.

  • Patent number: 9559462
Abstract: The present invention is a port connector securement device comprising a resting piece, a planar surface, and at least one projection extending from the bottom of the planar surface where the at least one projection rests within at least one slot of an USB port when the port connector securement device is slideably insertable, along with the USB cable into the USB port to ensure that the USB cable cannot be removed upon the port connector securement device insertion into the USB port.

  • Patent number: 8449309
Abstract: A Universal Serial Bus port protector having a top piece and a tongued planar surface, where the top piece includes a rectangular surface, a rectangular planar surface, a box having an open bottom and an open top, and a shim-like piece, and where the tongued planar surface includes a tongued portion and an untongued portion, where the tongued portion includes one dado and two rabbet cuts and two projections, where the top piece and the tongued planar surface are slideably insertable into and extractable from a Universal Serial Bus port to ensure that no electrical connection is made to the Universal Serial Bus port when the top piece and the tongued planar surface are so inserted.

  • Patent number: 8414314
Abstract: A single-use Universal Serial Bus port protector having a top piece and a tongued planar surface, where the top piece includes a rectangular surface, a rectangular planar surface, a slotted planar surface, and at least one lever breakably attached to the slotted planar surface, and where the tongued planar surface includes two rails and two projections, where the top piece and the tongued planar surface are slideably insertable into a Universal Serial Bus port to ensure that no electrical connection is made to the Universal Serial Bus port when the top piece and the tongued planar surface are so inserted, where the at least one lever engages with at least one of the rails of the tongued planar surface upon insertion, and where the at least one lever breaks off when the Universal Serial Bus port protector is removed from the Universal Serial Bus port.

  • Patent number: 7607858
Abstract: An enhanced security manhole cover is disclosed, comprising a frame, outer cover, inner cover, crossbar, saddle, eyebolt, and padlock. The inner cover, which closes the lower opening in a manhole, includes a detent in the top surface for receiving the eyebolt. The crossbar is positioned above the inner cover and engages the walls of the frame. The crossbar includes a threaded hole that aligns with the detent. The saddle, an upside down U-shaped member, is positioned over the crossbar and includes a slot for the eyebolt to partially extend through. The saddle may include a shoulder on the base, to protect the eyebolt. The eyebolt passes partially through the saddle and crossbar and threads into the bore. The shackle of the padlock passes through holes in the upright of the U-shaped saddle below the crossbar, locking the saddle in place. The upper cover closes the top of the frame.
