Patent number: 11596995Abstract: A die assembly having a bending die and a clamp die. The bending die comprises one or more movable plates and a wedge plate. The bending die includes a channel formed in one or more of the plates configured to receive a pipe or other workpiece to be formed. The movable plates are movable between a first position wherein each plate is spaced from the adjacent plate a predetermined distance and a second position wherein each plate is compressed so there is less distance between the plates. Movement of the wedge plate from the retracted position to the engaged position causes the movable plates to move from the first position to the second position. Compression of the movable plates correspondingly reduces the width of the channel to help grasp any workpiece inserted therein.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2021Date of Patent: March 7, 2023Assignee: Morton Industries LLCInventors: Russ Argadine, Justin Barnewolt, Gary Schmitt, Curt Humes

Patent number: 10585419Abstract: A non-volatile computer readable storage medium has instructions executed by a processor to collect from a communication interface a first set of probe signals from a three dimensional axis gauge characterizing axis directions of a table. Axes directions for the table relative to a vise on the table are computed from the first set of probe signals. A second set of probe signals from electronic gauge blocks that characterize position of the table are collected from the communication interface. Actual table positions are computed from the second set of probe signals. Table position residuals between the actual table positions and desired table positions are computed. The table position residuals are conveyed to the communication interface.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2018Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: BENEFICIAL MACHINE TOOLS LLCInventors: George Benedict, Gary Schmitt

Patent number: 7144084Abstract: A chair having a metal rod frame back assembly where the frame includes generally horizontal top, bottom and middle members and spaced apart generally vertical side members. Two seat brackets are welded to the middle and bottom members and attach to a seat board and two rod segments are welded to the side members. The seat board is covered with foam and upholstery. The back frame may be covered with springy mesh to give a thin elegant, yet comfortable back structure. Alternatively, foam is glued to a structural material and the material and foam combination and the frame are covered with upholstery. Arms and armrests are attached to the seat board and the seat and back assemblies with arms are mounted to a pedestal connected to a five spoke base riding on casters.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2004Date of Patent: December 5, 2006Assignee: HNI Technologies Inc.Inventors: Tom Edwards, Errol Pearsons, Rick Rimer, Odie Eaves, Brian Yeckering, Gary Schmitt, John Stevens

Patent number: 7032869Abstract: A decorative chair base having a metal substructure, a single molded plastic cover and a plurality of decorative inserts. The metal substructure has a central hub and radiating leg portions. At the extended ends of the leg portions are sleeves for mounting casters. The plastic cover also has a central hub and leg portions. The central hub of the cover fits over the central hub of the substructure and each leg portion of the cover overlays a leg portion of the substructure. Each leg portion of the cover has a raised end section, and a recess and there is a raised section surrounding the hub portion. An insert is mounted in each recess so as to be flush with the raised portions.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2004Date of Patent: April 25, 2006Assignee: HNI Technologies Inc.Inventors: Tom Edwards, Errol Pearsons, Gary Schmitt, Brian Yeckering, Odie Eaves, Rick Rimer
