  • Publication number: 20080090672
Abstract: A golf system that includes a tee or other area for striking a golf ball; and a golf green having a concave surface with a ball receptacle located at the lowest point in the surface so that a ball landing and remaining on the green will roll into the ball receptacle. The green includes a resiliently compressible layer coinciding with the concave surface. The resiliently compressible surface may include at least one layer of corrugated plastic material and may be covered with an artificial turf surface. The golf system may be used to play a unique game, wherein a plurality of balls are rolled on the green and travel in a spiral manner into the ball receptacle. The golf green may be mounted on a portable frame.

  • Publication number: 20070072539
Abstract: A ventilating device for a roof having at least one vent opening. The ventilating device includes a cover extending along the vent opening. The cover may include two plies of material, a top ply and a bottom ply that are spaced apart by connecting members extending between the plies. The ventilating device may also include coiled members extending longitudinally along the cover on opposite sides of the vent opening to support the cover over the vent opening. The coiled members may have spaced coils defining passages therebetween to permit venting of the structure through the vent opening and the passages defined by the coils. A portion of the bottom ply of material of the cover is removed, where the coiled members are attached to the cover. The ventilating device may further include at least one air-permeable filter member to inhibit moisture and debris from entering in the vent opening through the passages.

  • Publication number: 20060121845
Abstract: A ventilating apparatus for a roof having a longitudinally extending ridge member and a vent opening substantially co-extensive with the ridge member, that in one embodiment includes a vent member mounted above the ridge member and extending longitudinally along the length of the vent opening, the vent member including a plurality of vent passages communicating the vent opening to ambient atmosphere; and the vent member including an upper wall, a pair of side walls, a pair of lower walls, and a pair of flexible mounting flanges that provide an adjustable mount to the roof on opposite sides of the vent opening. The vent member can accommodate vent openings of different widths. The ventilating apparatus also includes a capping structure extending longitudinally above the ridge member, covering the ridge member and the vent opening so that air ventilating from the vent opening passes within a space between said capping structure and the roof.

  • Publication number: 20050239392
Abstract: A ridge vent for tile roofing includes a vent member attached to a longitudinally extending ridge member and extending over at least a portion of a longitudinally extending vent opening. The vent member includes a number of passageways that connect the vent opening to the ambient atmosphere. A layer of air-permeable and moisture-resistant material covers the vent member so that air from the vented space passes through the material layer. Moisture from outside the structure coming into contact with the material layer is repelled. In one embodiment, the material layer provides a form for a sealing layer of mortar or mastic between the tile and the vent member preventing mortar from flowing into the vent opening. In another embodiment, flexible flashing material is used to provide a sealing structure between the tile and the vent member.

  • Patent number: 5054254
Abstract: An end cap for a ridge of a roof formed from a corrugated ridge vent. A longitudinal strip is removed from each of the lower corrugated layers adjacent a side edge to create a flap from the extending portion of the upper sheet of corrugated material. The flap is then folded over the side edges of the lower corrugated layers to provide an end cap from the ridge of a roof.
