    Abstract: A package suitable for storing liquids therein, having a pocket (16) being formed between superposed front and rear sheets (10; 12), which are joined together peripherally by a liquid-tight seal (14), a top package portion comprising an end of a neck portion (20), which extends from the pocket (16), a top part (22) of the neck portion (20) being narrower than the pocket (16), at least one reinforcement portion (28) being arranged at the top package portion and extending on at least one side of the top part (22) of the next portion (20). The front sheet (10) and the rear sheet (12) each have a substantially uniform rupture strength along the extension of the pocket (16) and the neck portion (20). In order to open the package, the neck portion (20) is ruptured by bending the top package portion backwards.
