    Abstract: An intelligent switch system, a so-called squib, for providing power to sensitive equipment, such as missiles, rockets and the like, comprises a pair of serially connected power switches which are separately and sequentially enabled and which will not deliver power from their input to their outputs unless both switches turn on. These switches are controlled by an electronic microcontroller that is normally left unpowered, except when a trigger input is temporarily applied to the microcontroller.
