  • Publication number: 20220175993
Abstract: A multistage connector assembly for a lumen decontamination system is provided. The assembly includes a main body, a multistage body, a multistage barrier, a connector, and one or more biasing members. The assembly includes a multistage barrier movable in the fluid passageway between a fully closed position in which each stage of the multistage barrier is in a closed position to each independently block flow in the fluid passageway and a fully open position in which each stage is in an open position to allow flow within the fluid passageway. The connector is configured to engage the multistage barrier when coupled to the main body to sequentially open each stage of the multistage barrier to enable flow through the fluid passageway. The biasing member(s) are configured to urge each stage of the multistage barrier towards a closed position that blocks flow in the fluid passageway.

  • Patent number: 10390691
Abstract: A medical accessory holder (10) is provided, for use during reprocessing and/or conditioning of medical equipment. The holder comprises a planar base portion (11). At least one recess (12, 13, 14) is provided in the planar base portion, and is adapted to receive a medical accessory (15, 16, 17) firmly engaged therein. The holder (10) further comprises retaining means (22) associated with the base portion (11) and adapted to engage therewith. Once engaged, the retaining means (22) cannot be disengaged, and the medical accessory (15, 16, 17) cannot be removed from the recess (12, 13, 14), without breaking the retaining means (22), thereby rendering the holder suitable only for single use. Attachment means (26) are further provided to enable the holder (10) to be secured to an article of medical equipment with which the medical accessory (15, 16, 17) is associated, during reprocessing thereof.

  • Publication number: 20100117297
Abstract: The invention provides for a series of five related three-dimensional mechanical puzzle devices comprising of a real or imaginary spherical support element and a plurality of moveable interlocking shapes which can be manipulated around any of a number of distinct axes to assume a very high number of configurations. The external appearance of the devices are keyed so that the unique identity of each external segment can be determined and related to the global reference frame thus realising a series of puzzles which can be regarded as solved if the segments are positioned in a desirable rather than a undesirable configuration. The realisation of said devices via an electronic simulation.

  • Patent number: 6314982
Abstract: An extendable/retractable link apparatus 10 defines a fluid passage therethrough and may be connected between two relatively moveable components, e.g. an aircraft ejector seat and the adjacent fixed airframe, so that, when there is relative movement within pre-set limits, there is no significant displacement of fluid and no significant pressure force generated. The apparatus comprises a body 12 defining a fluid inlet/outlet port 16 and slidably receiving a piston 18 having a central bore which defines a fluid inlet/outlet port 24. The fluid passage is defined between said inlet and outlet ports 16 and 24. Relative movement of the piston 18 and the body 12 does not cause significant displacement of the fluid into or out of the fluid passage.

  • Patent number: 4227244
Abstract: An apparatus for enabling a central processing unit (CPU) to directly read the address transferred to a memory module to permit the CPU to test the address circuitry of the memory module without actually referencing an addressable location of the memory array within the memory module. A status register located within the memory module has two bit positions assigned to controlling the closed loop address capability. If the two assigned bit positions contain binary zeroes, the memory module operates normally by using each address received to address one addressable location of the memory array of the memory module. If one of the assigned bit positions contains a binary one, subsequent read commands cause the memory not to access the memory arrays but to return the portion of the address corresponding to the bit position containing the binary one (i.e.
