  • Publication number: 20210132571
Abstract: A system and method for calibrating a manufacturing machine that includes a leveling device including a machine base interface to a manufacturing machine, a support system that comprises of a set of linearly actuating supports, a workpiece interface, and wherein actuation of supports collectively adjusts the orientation of the workpiece interface with two degrees of angular freedom; and a calibration system with sensors configured to measure the orientation of the workpiece interface.

  • Publication number: 20210114235
Abstract: A robotics system is built from four components: a joint assembly, links, universal connectors, and end caps. These components may be arranged and configured in a number of different ways to create a wide array of popular robots that are useful for different purposes. Sensor suits maybe built into a robot's rotating joints, enabling sensor suits in every axis if so desired.

  • Patent number: 10377292
Abstract: A hoist mechanism having an improved locking assembly. A hoist mechanism includes a frame including a first end and a second end, and the frame is pivotably coupled with a mounting structure at the frame first end. The hoist mechanism also includes a hoist arm assembly pivotably coupled with the frame second end, and the hoist arm assembly includes a jib operative to move between an extended position and a retracted position. The locking assembly includes a lug disposed on the jib and a link arm coupled with the frame. The link arm defines a slot dimensioned to selectively engage with the lug when the jib is moved from the retracted position. The hoist arm assembly is pivotable with respect to the frame when the jib is in the retracted position, and the frame and the hoist arm assembly are pivotable together when the jib is in the extended position.

  • Publication number: 20120330731
Abstract: A system and method for processing vote-by-mail ballot envelopes is disclosed. The system comprises a processor operable to asynchronously process each of a plurality of ballot envelopes by (i) verifying that the registered voter associated with the ballot envelope is eligible to vote, (ii) verifying that a signature written on the ballot envelope corresponds to the signature of the registered voter, (iii) verifying that personal information written on the ballot envelope corresponds to the personal information of the registered voter, and (iv) generating batch information if the ballot envelope passes all of the verification steps or exception information if the ballot envelope fails any one of the verification steps. The system also comprises a storage device operable to store the batch information or exception information, as applicable, for each of the ballot envelopes.
