  • Publication number: 20050130096
Abstract: An orthodontic bracket packaging kit and system includes a base tray, a plurality of pedestals for supporting individual orthodontic brackets, and a protective lid. The kit may also include a blister cover fitting over the orthodontic brackets, helping to hold them in place on top of the individual pedestals. The base tray may have an undulating profile defining a lower level and an upper level, along with a tongue raised towards the lower level. The upper level may be used for placement of maxillary brackets, while the lower level may hold mandibular brackets. The pedestals may be arranged along the base tray in a staggered, radial arc arrangement to facilitate manual retrieval of the brackets. The protective cover may be substantially opaque to curing light wavelengths to protect light curable adhesive pre-applied to the individual brackets.

  • Patent number: 6398565
Abstract: A media connector including a shield. The media connector includes an arch formed within the media connector. The arch has pin guides that allow the contact pins to be properly positioned within the media connector. The pin guides also keep the contact pins from touching each other. The arch forms an arch channel through which the shield exits the media connector. The shield extends out beneath the media connector beyond the portion of the contact pins that are exposed for contact with contacts of a media plug. When the media plug is inserted in the media connector, the shield covers the electrical connection thus formed to provide both protection and insulation of the electrical connection. The arch also includes a groove that permits the shield to rest within the confines of the media connector when the media connector is retracted.

  • Patent number: 5426911
Abstract: A system for transporting by gravity a single-file series of elongate, tapered articles along an inclined transport path for distribution into receiving slots. The system includes a hopper for holding a supply of the articles and a pair of adjacently parallel rotating cylinders for holding the articles in suspended, sliding contact therebetween. A cleated conveyor belt carries the articles from the bottom of the hopper to a point above the cylinders and drops them onto said cylinders. The base of the hopper defines an inclined movement path to thereby convey articles which might fall from the cylinders back to the conveyor belt. The articles are thus fed by the conveyor onto the cylinders and slide along the gap therebetween to an end location. A series of three gates manipulates the articles one at a time to drop in a vertical orientation into an array of narrowly-tailored receiving slots in a packing rack.

  • Patent number: 5240817
Abstract: A process is disclosed for applying a preformed photopolymerizable solder mask film and a photosensitive liquid to a printed circuit substrate containing a plurality of holes wherein reduced failure is obtained in photopolymerized areas of the solder mask film above the holes as determined after a soldering operation. The photosensitive liquid contains at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound capable of forming a high polymer by addition polymerization and a first photoinitiator system which has an absorption maximum in a first spectral region. The preformed photopolymerizable film contains at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound capable of forming a high polymer by addition polymerization and a second photoinitiator system, such that the preformed photopolymerizable film has an absorption maximum in a second spectral region and is activated by actinic radiation therein and has an absorption minimum in the first spectral region and transmits actinic radiation therein.
