  • Patent number: 9428348
Abstract: A method and system for handling granular material, such as proppant used in hydraulic fracturing in well drilling, is provided. In an operational configuration, a delivery module having conveyors receives and conveys granular material to a delivery location, and one or more mobile storage modules receive, hold and dispense granular material downward to the delivery module. The mobile storage modules comprise a raised, angular container portion for holding granular material. Each mobile storage module may comprise a rock-over chassis for support against ground. A remote control module provides centralized, remote control of the system. Mobile support unit modules may also be provided as a remotely controlled vehicle capable of providing power, control, heating, and the like to other modules. Mobile in-feed elevator modules may also be provided as a remotely controlled vehicle for feeding granular material to mobile storage modules. In a transportation configuration, each module is separately transportable.

  • Publication number: 20120051875
Abstract: A vehicle side dumping apparatus is provided comprising a pivotable deck for supporting and tipping a vehicle, and one or more piston-cylinder assemblies configured for tipping the deck. A piston rod of each piston-cylinder assembly has a first end pivotally supported against a support surface. A coupling assembly mechanically and pivotally couples the deck to the cylinder at a coupling location of the cylinder, wherein the coupling assembly is configured to substantially axially load the piston-cylinder assembly. The coupling location is located near the cylinder end receiving the piston rod, substantially in line with the vehicle deck, the remainder of the cylinder extending above the vehicle deck.

  • Publication number: 20090191034
Abstract: The remote controllable material handling system comprises a material handling device configured to carry particulate matter, which includes one or more operatively coupled actuators, wherein the actuators are configured to transfer the particulate matter carried by the material handling device and are responsive to one or more control signals. The remote controllable material handling system further includes a MHD receiver operatively connected to the material handling device, which is configured to generate the one or more control signals in response to one or more transmission signals originating from a wireless remote transmitter. The wireless remote transmitter is moveable relative to the material handling device, and configured to receive as input one or more operator instructions for generating the one or more transmission signals for transmission to the MHD receiver in response to the one or more operator instructions.

  • Publication number: 20050111941
Abstract: A trailer unloading system anchors one or more trailers to a deck, with, or without tractor attached. The sides of the trailers are free to pivot from a top, longitudinal, pivot axis once unlatched from the edge of the trailer floor. The deck tilts the trailers sideways, the doors swing free, and the load discharges. The deck returns to level, the sides latch to support the floor and the trailers are ready to be reloaded.
