  • Publication number: 20230109565
Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating of gas from liquids in a wellbore, the apparatus enabling the receiving of wellbore fluids into two or more production separation chambers, operating in parallel. The apparatus further enabling the receiving of production separation chamber fluids into a production pipe through a thief jet port disposed in a lower chamber beneath the production separation chambers. The apparatus further enabling extraction of bottom hole gas fluids in the wellbore from under the two or more production separation chambers and disposing the gas fluids back into the wellbore above the two or more production separation chambers.

  • Publication number: 20230044070
Abstract: A method and apparatus for gas and solids separation from down-hole fluids is disclosed, including particular structural means for forcing the de-gassing of the gaseous liquid, including means for changing the velocity of the gaseous liquid (speed changes on each exit from the tubes owing to the volume difference between the tubes and the chamber), means for changing the direction of the gaseous liquid (owing to the flow changing direction from exiting one set of tubes to travel to the opening to enter the next set of tubes), and means for changing the pressure of the gaseous liquid (owing perhaps in part to evolution of gas upon entering increased volume).

  • Publication number: 20220389805
Abstract: A downhole solids separator having: a plurality of solids separation modules, a production tube disposed therein, one or more limited entry ports in the production tube, placed in each of the modules, an intake port in the lower half of each module opening into a wellbore annulus, the intake port below the limited entry port of the module, a closed chamber for collecting solids, isolated from the well bore, the closed chamber below modules, a solids conveying conduit from at least one module, opening into the closed chamber, an opening restricted to less than the size of the production tube in the conduit near the bottom of the module, an opening in the production tube in the closed chamber, where the production tube opening and conduit opening are configured to effect a drop fluid velocity into production tube to a level insufficient to carry solids into the production tube.

  • Patent number: 11299974
Abstract: An apparatus for gas and solids separation from down-hole fluids having an inner tube and an outer tube disposed about the inner tube. The annular region between the tubes contain a plurality of chambers, separated by fluid barriers. The chambers include an intake chamber to receive fluids from outside of the outer tube through an orifice, and processing chambers. Fluid communication between the intake and processing chambers is restricted to fluid flow through sets of tubes. Fluid communication between a lowermost processing chamber below the intake chamber and a lower processing chamber above the intake chamber is restricted to fluid flow through the inner tube. A block restricts fluid communication within the inner tube to other chambers above the intake chamber. Orifices in the inner tube of the processing chambers on either side of the block provide fluid communication across the block.

  • Publication number: 20190085678
Abstract: A method and apparatus for gas and solids separation from down-hole fluids is disclosed, including a chamber disposed between a production string or a liquid-gas separator and a production pump. In the chamber, liquids “sink” to the bottom and gas rises to the top. At the top of the chamber, gas exits holes or ports or orifices in the outer walls of the chamber. At the bottom of the chamber, the liquid is drawn up by a pump through a different production tube. These chambers may be coupled serially for a multi-stage gas separating apparatus.
