  • Patent number: 7293786
Abstract: A room service table includes a frame, a tabletop including folding side portions and wheels. A push handle assembly mounts to an underside of the table and includes a handle portion and a hinge body portion. The handle portion includes a grip, a support portion and a hinge pin portion. The hinge body mounts to the tabletop and includes barrel portions supporting the hinge pin portion. The hinge pin portion has a tab formed in an end thereof engaging a complementary slot formed in the hinge body portion. The slot includes a first section and a second section that receive and retain the tab for aligning and securing the handle at the use position and at the storage position. The biasing member urges the pin toward the slot. Rotation is accomplished by sliding the handle axially so that the tab disengages the slot and rotating the handle to the desired position and then releasing the handle.

  • Patent number: 6082051
Abstract: An elevationally adjustable folding stage (20) includes stages decks (22) on a folding frame (24). Telescoping legs (26) extend from the frame (24) and include a spacer assembly (80). A spacer member (84) is engaged by a spreader member (82) to adjust the width of the spacer assembly (80). Rotatable wheels (88) are mounted on the spacer member (84) to engage the inner portion of an outer leg member of the telescoping legs (26). A spacing linkage (30) includes linkage members (52) and (54) with a stop member (58) mounted on the first linkage member (52) and engaging the top of the second spacing linkage (54). Stop member (58) is adjustably mounted to change the engagement point and the folding range of the folding linkage (28) and therefore, the alignment of the stage (20).

  • Patent number: 6024026
Abstract: An elevationally adjustable folding stage folds between a use position wherein the panels are substantially planar, to a storage position wherein the panels face one another. Support legs are guided into a proper folding position by a guide plate having a surface angling relative to both the vertical and horizontal axis that provides for moving the leg into a fully extended position. A spacer assembly is utilized which includes a spreader member and a spacer member having tabs engaging the interior of an outer telescoping member. The spacer members provide better alignment and less wobble between the inner and outer members of the telescoping leg assembly.

  • Patent number: 5615451
Abstract: A stage or other structure having support legs includes rollers which are mounted so as to be supporting the stage in a first position and having the stage legs support the stage in a second position. A lift mechanism includes actuating pedals near the ground for raising and lowering the assembly. A linkage pivots the roller mounting member between a raised and lowered position relative to a cross member on the frame. A second pedal is selectively engageable by a single foot for retaining the roller assembly in either the raised or lowered positions.

  • Patent number: 5349789
Abstract: An elevationally adjustable folding stage has a frame which folds along a center of the stage from a storage position to a use position. Stage panels of interchangeable widths form a stage surface and are reversible and interchangeable. The stage may also support additional panels between stages extending therefrom to form an extended stage surface. The stage has a roller assembly which lifts the stage up so that rollers engage the floor for rolling between storage and use locations. Connectors between the frame and the stage offer quick connection without additional pieces. Connectors also provide for inserting risers to raise the height of one panel of the stage relative to the other. In addition to the risers, multi-panel supporting bases may be used to support the panels extending from the edges of the stage between stages.
