  • Patent number: 8777769
Abstract: Disclosed in this specification is a golfing glove that is configured to facilitate the proper grip of a golf club handle and a method of using the same. The palmar surface of the glove comprises a first indicator that extends along its width. A second indicator also disposed on the palmar surface. The thumb of the glove has a third indicator. The dorsal surface of the glove has a first elongated indicator aligned with the thumb and a second elongated indicator on the dorsal surface.

  • Patent number: 8231341
Abstract: A hybrid gas compressor has at least one rotor and shroud which define a compressor gas path extending from an inlet to an outlet. The compressor includes at least two compression stages and one diffusion stage between the inlet and outlet, the compression stages including respective circumferential arrays of blades extending from the rotor and the diffusion stage including a circumferential array of vanes between the compression stages. Blade aerodynamic loadings may be controlled, particularly in the last stage, to provide desired compression characteristics across the compressor. A bleed outlet is optionally located between the inlet and outlet for bleeding from the gas path.

  • Patent number: 6488469
Abstract: A two stage compressor for a gas turbine engine with a mixed flow first stage, a centrifugal second stage, and an intermediate duct. The mixed flow stage has a mixed rotor rotatable about the central compressor axis with a circumferential array of mixed flow blades between the mixed flow hub and an associated mixed flow shroud. The downstream centrifugal stage has a centrifugal rotor rotatable about the same compressor axis. The centrifugal rotor has a circumferential array of radially extending centrifugal flow blades between the centrifugal flow hub and an associated centrifugal flow shroud. An intermediate duct has an inner duct wall defining an axially curvilinear transition surface of revolution between an outlet end of the mixed flow hub and an inlet end of the centrifugal flow hub and an outer duct wall defining an axially curvilinear transition surface of revolution between an outlet end of the mixed flow shroud and an inlet end of the centrifugal flow shroud.

  • Patent number: 5340201
Abstract: A snap-on dress wheel simulator for applications such as utility and recreational vehicles including motor coaches, trucks and the like, includes a unitary sheet metal shell formed of a central hub cover and an annular dished ring which are permanently joined. The shell also carries lug nut covers and a metal grip ring having teeth which engage a safety hub of the vehicle wheel rim. The grip ring is seated in an annular channel of a molded plastic mounting collar. The collar includes an enlarged outer peripheral bead and the peripheral edge of the shell is crimped around the collar bead to fasten the collar to the shell.

  • Patent number: 5273345
Abstract: A conceal band for a painted or chromed stylized steel vehicle wheel overlies an annular concave peripheral channel of a wheel rim to conceal unsightly surfaces and wheel balance weights. The band, formed of sheet steel, is generally concave in transverse cross section facing the wheel and is of a radial width sufficient to overly and conceal the channel. The band carries a plurality of mounting clips retained between opposed inturned peripheral edges of the band. Each clip includes an arcuate body which spans radially across the band between the peripheral edges of the band. A cantilever leaf spring section projects beyond a radially outer end of the body with the leaf spring section being connected to the body by a sharp bend. The leaf spring section includes a curved engagement surface which is biased against the concave peripheral channel to retain the band.
