Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for a fully customizable bath chair that is configurable to provide a wide variety of positioning options of the head, trunk and leg support in a sitting or reclining position. The described embodiments can be custom fit to individuals dimensions, or be refit at any time to accommodate growth and/or size changes. Legs, calf support and back angles as well as chair height can be adjusted independently to maximize positioning options to accommodate the support and comfort of the user. The chair has the unique capability to be adjusted in six independent dimensions, each affecting a specific relational fit to the individual users anthropometrics and functional need.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for a bathing and transfer chair that provides a stand alone wheeled chair that is configurable to engage a stand alone base, adapted to engage a bathing tub and lower the level of the chair thereby submersing the user in the bath water. The seat portion of the device is adaptable to transfer an individual from the wheeled chair portion of the device, positioned outside of the bathing area, to the submersing base which is positioned within the bathing area. Abstract: Apparatus for delivering a viscous liquid to a surgical site employs a conventional syringe having a barrel and a plunger movable axially within the barrel from a withdrawn position to an inserted position. The apparatus includes an internally-threaded sleeve and a substantially cylindrical actuation element. The sleeve is configured to receive the plunger in its withdrawn position, and has an open proximal end and a distal end slot configured for receiving the syringe barrel therethrough. The actuation element has an externally-threaded distal portion dimensioned to screw into the proximal end of the sleeve, and a plunger seat, at the distal end of the actuation element, that bears against the plunger and that pushes the plunger axially toward its inserted position in the barrel as the actuation element is threaded into the sleeve.

Abstract: A medication infusion system having an integrated dose rate calculation feature for selectively assigning values to a plurality of infusion parameters and automatically calculating an infusion rate from the selected parameters. One embodiment includes a stored list of drug names having associated dose rate and concentration units that are automatically set when a drug name is selected from the list. Another embodiment includes "Fast" softkeys that can be programmed to display parameter values or drug names in a predetermined sequence. The dose rate calculation feature may also be used during infusion to titrate the dosage being delivered to the patient for improved therapeutic results. The stored list of drug names and associated infusion parameters may be altered by qualified personnel using an external programming source running specialized software.
