  • Patent number: 11681362
Abstract: Described herein are methods and display systems for enhanced eye tracking for display systems, such as augmented or virtual reality display systems. The display systems may include: a light source configured to output light and a moveable diffractive grating configured to reflect light from the light source, the reflected light forming a light pattern on the eye of the user; a plurality of light detectors to detect light reflected from the eye; and one or more processors. The display system changes the orientation of the diffractive grating, such that the light pattern reflected from the diffractive grating is scanned along an axis across the eye. Light intensity patterns are obtained via the light detectors, with a light intensity pattern representing a light detector signal obtained by detecting light reflected off of the eye as the light pattern is scanned across the eye.

  • Patent number: 10657856
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture of a photosensor fusion system for lens detection are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes a projector, a photosensor having a filter and a lens detector to compare an output from the photosensor to a threshold, and a projector controller to selectively enable or disable the projector based on the comparison between the output from the photosensor and the threshold.

  • Patent number: 10437325
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods and storage medium associated with retinal see through display are disclosed herein. In embodiments, an apparatus may comprise a retinal see through display wearable by a user; a target luminance calculator to determine a required luminance level; and a display power controller to determine a power level for the retinal see through display, based at least in part on a pupil size of the user and the determined required luminance level. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
