Abstract: The systems and methods described in this present disclosure are directed to template based deployment for the initial configuration of infrastructure. Templates can be created and applied to a new resource to create resource profiles. Whenever profiles are created, the templates can be optimized for the new resource by applying the rules in the template to the existing configuration of the new resource. Additionally, the present disclosure also focuses on the application of user-defined preferred practices to automate individual steps involved in setup and configuration of storage system setup when a storage template is applied.
