Abstract: A method and apparatus for optimizing the mobile media received by a mobile device is disclosed. The apparatus operates with a radio access network, a mobile device operating in the radio access network, and a media server providing mobile media data to the mobile device wherein the mobile device connects to the media server using the radio access network. The apparatus includes a optimization application server coupled to the radio access network. The optimization application server includes positioning indexed performance information based on the positioning information and performance of a plurality of mobile devices operating in the radio access network. The optimization application server triggers adjustments to a parameter at least one of the radio access network, the mobile device and the media server by comparing the location of the mobile device in the radio access network to the optimization application server and sending a message to the radio access network to adjust the parameter.

Abstract: The invention describes a method and system for creating a social network in a telecommunication network. The method includes extracting one or more contact information stored in a telecommunication device of a user. The one or more contact information is added to the social network of the user in response to extracting the contact information stored in the telecommunication device of the user. The method also includes organizing the contact information based on a degree of separation between the user and the contact information. The method further includes enabling the user to perform a set of operations by using the telecommunication device in the social network. The set of operations includes posting and searching a review corresponding to an object in the social network.

Abstract: A method and a communication system having an Application Ensemble Service server is provided that manage an application ensemble having multiple applications running on one or more user terminals. The communication system allows a user to collectively transfer the ensemble from a source terminal or terminals to a target terminal or terminals, for example, from voice and data terminals to other voice and data terminals or to a single user terminal. The communication system further allows the user to selectively transfer applications of the ensemble, such as transferring only the voice session from the voice terminal to another voice or voice/data terminal, and to copy an ensemble, or a portion of an ensemble, from a source terminal to a target terminal, wherein the ensemble or portion of the ensemble is not removed from the source terminal. The communication system further allows a user to suspend and resume an application ensemble.
