  • Publication number: 20230406342
Abstract: A vehicular driving assist system includes (i) a forward-viewing camera disposed at a windshield of a vehicle viewing forward of the vehicle through the windshield and (ii) an in-cabin camera disposed at an interior rearview mirror assembly in an interior cabin of the vehicle and viewing at least a steering wheel of the vehicle. The forward-viewing camera and the in-cabin camera are operable to capture image data. Image data captured by the forward-viewing camera is transferred from the forward-viewing camera to an electronic control unit (ECU) and is processed at the ECU for at least one advanced driver assistance system or to determine a hazardous condition ahead of the vehicle. Processing by the vehicular driving assist system of image data captured by the in-cabin camera determines that at least one hand of a driver of the vehicle is not on the steering wheel of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11847576
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a technique for implementing a framework that enables application developers to enhance their applications with dynamic adjustment capabilities. Specifically, the framework, when utilized by an application on a mobile computing device that implements the framework, can enable the application to establish predictive models that can be used to identify meaningful behavioral patterns of an individual who uses the application. In turn, the predictive models can be used to preempt the individual's actions and provide an enhanced overall user experience. The framework is configured to interface with other software entities on the mobile computing device that conduct various analyses to identify appropriate times for the application to manage and update its predictive models. Such appropriate times can include, for example, identified periods of time where the individual is not operating the mobile computing device, as well as recognized conditions where power consumption is not a concern.

  • Publication number: 20230401049
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for a launcher on a user device that allow users to choose between multiple launcher modes. In an example, a user can log in to a management application on a user device that manages the user device. The management application can send the credentials to a server. The server can verify the credentials and send a launcher profile associated with the user to the management application. The management application can check the launcher profile to determine whether the user is allowed to choose a launcher mode. If so, the management application can display the available launcher modes on the user device. The user can select a launcher mode, and the management application can configure the launcher with settings corresponding to the selected mode.

  • Publication number: 20230401100
Abstract: A Logically Composed System (LCS) workload in-band resource device management system includes a resource device management subsystem coupled to a workload that is provided using an LCS, and to a System Control Processor (SCP) device. The resource device management subsystem determines a first plurality of resource devices that are available via the SCP device for the LCS, and presents an available-resource file hierarchy to the workload that identifies the first plurality of resource devices. When the resource device management subsystem receives a resource device request from the workload for a first resource device that is included in the first plurality of resource devices identified in the available-resource file hierarchy, it provides a resource device provisioning request to the SCP device that is configured to cause the SCP device to provide the first resource device to the LCS for utilization by the workload.

  • Publication number: 20230401176
Abstract: A data management system (DMS) may facilitate the storage tiering of snapshots on cloud environments. For example, the DMS may transmit snapshot signaling to a first cloud environment that instructs the first cloud environment to capture a first snapshot of a computing object and to store the first snapshot in a first type of cloud storage at the first cloud environment. The DMS may determine that the first snapshot has been stored in the first type of cloud storage for a duration of time that satisfies an archival threshold. Based on the archival threshold being satisfied, the DMS may transmit archival signaling that instructs the first cloud environment to store the first snapshot to a second type of cloud storage. The second type of cloud storage may be associated with a longer access latency than the first type of cloud storage.
