Abstract: In one embodiment, an AR/VR system includes a social-networking application installed on the AR/VR system, which allows a user to access on online social network, including communicating with the user's social connections and interacting with content objects on the online social network. The AR/VR system also includes an AR/VR application, which allows the user to interact with an AR/VR platform by providing user input to the AR/VR application via various modalities. Based on the user input, the AR/VR platform generates responses and sends the generated responses to the AR/VR application, which then presents the responses to the user at the AR/VR system via various modalities.

Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for communication a shared artificial reality environment. Various aspects may include receiving an indication of artificial reality location information for a user. Aspects may also include determining an audio configuration for the user based on the artificial reality location information or an application. Aspects may also include determining a switch point for changing the audio configuration for audio between the user and the another user, such as based on the location of the another user. Aspects may also include changing the audio configuration to another audio configuration based on the switch point. Aspects may include outputting audio based on the another audio configuration.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a computing system may receive, from a number of artificial reality devices each corresponding to a respective user, data generated by different artificial reality applications executing on the number of artificial reality devices. The data includes contextual information associated with experiences of the number of users in different artificial reality environments generated by the different artificial reality applications. The computing system may identify a target user of a number of users, and then select a portion of the received data based on information associated with the target user. The selected portion of the received data is associated with one of the different artificial reality applications. The computing system may then generate output data for the target user based on the selected portion of the received data, and further provide the output data to an artificial reality device corresponding to the target user.
